[There's an Androemda Saint over in the library! Instead of his usual outfit Shun's dressed in his training clothes, but he's not doing any sort of physical training. Instead, he's seated at a table with a very old, and fragile looking, book that he's carefully flipping through. There's a small pile of several more old books, and even a few scrolls, laying next to him. Next to those are several much newer looking books that might have come from the library itself. Shun appears very focused on what he's reading.

[Did someone say old and fragile book? Brax is physically incapable of resisting. Hands in his pockets, he tries to check out the book - name, make, origin, etc - from a distance without actually disturbing Shun. Heavens forbid he startle Shun and make him rip a page, after all.]

[The book is handwritten, and is in very old Greek. The exact age is unclear, but it must be at least a couple of centuries old at least. It appears to be a journal of some sort. Shun doesn't noticed anyone watching him, not when he's trying to puzzle through some of the more archaic terms in the book.]

[very, very gently] Could I help you? I'm a... an historian, I suppose you could say. I've studied a great deal of Greek.

[Looks up, a bit surprised someone would offer help.] Thanks, I guess I really could use some help. I can read modern Greek pretty well so I thought I would be fine. This book is just so...old that it gets confusing.

[smiling] Many people I know are more startled by the language shifts in time than those across spaces. What's the period of the work? Hellenistic?

[Shun shakes his head] It's not that old. It's a journal from the last Holy War. That was about two hundred forty years ago.

That shouldn't be too far back, then. Unless it's one of the more difficult dialects?

I don't think it is..[He sounds slightly unsure. His exposure to Greek culture has been very limited in some areas.]

If you could point me to the area you're having difficulties with, I could give it a try.

[Points to a paragraph about halfway down one of the open pages.] I was doing okay up until here. Now I don't have any idea what he's talking about. [At that point in the text, it appears the writer has gone off into a rather metaphorical tangent about the nature of the universe and the meaning of life.]

[looking it over] That's because it seems to be metaphysics, and that generally confounds even the most articular speakers of a language. Excellent use of metaphor, though.

[Looks back over it.] Ah, I see. Then it's not what I'm looking for. [He does smile gratefully though] Thank you for the help.

[smiles back] It's nothing. What are you looking for in particular? If it isn't private.

I was just looking for clues to how to use my powers as the Virgo Saint. I thought that if I looked at the journals of previous Virgo Saints, I could pick something up.

You don't have an instructor of some sort to train you?

[Softly] No, not really. Mu gave me some tips but anyone who could really teach me is...gone.

[quietly] I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be tactless.

It's all right. You didn't know, and besides, it's something I have to get used to.

[thoughtful] I don't believe I'm familiar with the concept of a 'Virgo Saint.'

[Shun had forgotten for a moment not everyone would what a Saint was] Oh. Um, a Saint is a warrior who fights for Athena. All of us have a constellation that protects us.

And yours is the Furrow. Interesting. Which constellations are used?

All eighty-eight of them. Well, there are eighty-eight Cloths I think, but not all of them have Saints right now.

Really. [He seems genuinely impressed] What an interesting institution.

[Shun smiles, just a little] I'm proud to be part of it. We protect people.

[quietly, sincerely] There is no more noble endeavour.

Seeking answers to something?

[Will look up for the book and give Mu a faint smile] I found some old journals in the Sanctuary archives. I thought they might help me a little when it comes to training.

Ah. I suppose I do not need to warn you to be careful with them.

I left someone of the ones that looked damaged because I didn't want to hurt them. It's all that's left of some of the past Saints.

[Oh do NOT get him started.]

A wise choice. I thought I noticed your presence around Sanctuary.
