They hate all sorts of things. Hating is in their genetics. It's their survival instinct. I never enjoy pretending to be one.

But it's something you have to do. If we're ourselves, aren't we alone? I guess it's not quite the same with you, since you're...kind of friends with the Doctor, and you have a lot of your people here, now, but it's similar. You and the Doctor don't try and kill each other, though, right?

That isn't the easiest question to answer. Do you mean 'recently' and if so, how recently? In the last year? Month? Day? What counts as 'trying to kill'? Death trap? Sword through the stomach? Particularly long and boring lecture about morality and how I need some?

Oh, he hasn't tried to kill me - really tried, I mean - since... what, his seventh body? He tells me that it goes back to his Fifth, but he is so very fond of lying. But who knows! Maybe he's telling the truth. Maybe burning me to death really did prick at his conscience.

Whenever I claim about it, he likes to bring up the time I threw him off the tower. Which, in my opinion, is completely uncalled for. I knew he'd regenerate. He thought I'd actually die.
