[On the Plane appears a figure who is by now probably pretty familiar to some. But this Chris looks a little older, and distinctly more eighties than seventies. Gone are the brown suits and knitted jumpers, replaced with a stonewashed denim jacket, patterned shirt, skinny polyester tie, and jeans tight enough they look as though they could have been painted on. His hair's acquired a few blonde highlight's too.
The one thing that doesn't seem to have changed since the seventies is his expression. He looks about as gormless as ever, and extremely confused about suddenly finding himself in the middle of space.]
Bloody hell.
...Ray? [He looks around again, as though he's fully expecting to suddenly find him right next to him.]
Shit... [He chews his lip, serious worry starting to creep into his features now. Nervous rambling is go.] Bit like that Hitch Hikers thing, this. Being stuck in the middle of space. Only I reckon I'd be dead by now if it were properly like that. [He glances nervously at his watch, breathing in to check he still can.] Yeah, definitely been here more than thirty seconds... Shouldn't even have been able to breathe to begin with, should I?
Maybe I've just lost it. Gone schizo, or something. Hallucinations, and that.
Or abducted.
...I dunno. Maybe abduction would be better. At least I don't think that'd last too long.
[ooc; Rebooted Chris, as noted in the OOC comm. ♥]

[Here, Chris, have a smirking Alex. He's just so adorable when he's confused. Which is... often.]
I suspect you don't remember me either?
no subject
...Boss? Ma'am.
Weren't you s'posed to be in a coma still?
no subject
[She looks shocked and, as rare occasion as it is, completely speechless.]
I. Um. Well, I suppose from your perspective I am still in a coma.
no subject
No you aren't. Wouldn't be talking if you were, would you?
no subject
Oddly enough, Chris, it's slightly more complicated than that.
no subject
...I don't think I get it.
no subject
This going to sound mad, Chris, so just bear with me. I'm not having you on. I am in a coma, in 1982. I woke up in 2008, which is how I came here. And I'm not the only one here like that. You're going to meet people from different times... and different realities.
no subject
But if you woke in 2008, that's fifteen... twenty... no, thirty. Yeah. Thirty something years after. You don't look like you've got any older.
no subject
That's because I'm not any older, Chris. I didn't wake up thirty years in the future, I traveled in time. Well, to be more accurate, I traveled back in time to 1982. I was only eleven in 1982. Well, the other me was eleven. The me that didn't time travel. The point is, Chris, I'm actually from the future, and in 2008 I was in a coma and traveled back in time, and now I've traveled back.
[No wonder Gene shot you, Alex, you sound like a raving lunatic.]
no subject
Still. Chris hasn't spent years hanging around Ray and picked up nothing; when in doubt, make stupid jokes.]
You didn't really look too bad for an eleven year old, Ma'am.
no subject
Okay. So you are here, from 1982, which doesn't make much sense at all. The Guv is here, but he's from 1973 - or 1974, I'm not certain. Ray is, apparently, here, but I haven't seen him. Also... Annie is here, but she's from the same time line as the Guv, and Sam was here, at some point. There must be some kind of reason we were all plucked from different time periods; although, it could have been random. But nothing seems random in any of the other time periods I've ended up in. This all must mean something, but I don't know what it is, Chris.
no subject
It makes more sense than the Guv and Annie being from the 70s, anyway.
no subject
[She pauses, placing her hand affectionately on Chris' arm.]
It makes sense my mind would choose you for that. You've always been very special to me, Chris. I don't think I ever really let you know that.

This place is called the Astral Plane by the residents. Different universe meet here with no apparent negative consequences. The Twins are a pair of porcelain-like beings who draw people here for their own purpose and are said to grant wishes for a price. One returns to one's world without any time having passed in that world. No one will know you have left. It is possible to travel between the Astral Plane and one's world at will with a thought.
no subject
D'you think you could say that again? Don't think I understood it the first time, like.

...Like something off the telly, then?
no subject
[then, completely deadpan]
Yes.
no subject
[No... No, still not understanding this.]
Have I gone mad?

You could be cautious in that and in assuming that the people are false.
no subject
Yeah. S'pose that'd make most sense. But I weren't going to try walking through no one, or nothing. Be a bit weird, that. Even if you aren't really real.
[Pauses, because that might actually sound a bit offensive.]
Which you might be. I'm just not sure if you are.
