Slumber Party on the Plane
[for those who would notice these things, Inara's on the Plane! more specifically, she's at the ballroom, and if one watches her long enough, they'll notice she keeps appearing and disappearing, each trip bringing with it something new that she sets out in tedious, meticulous fashion.
on one side of the ballroom is a lovely layout of food and snacks, from fried shrimp to entire entrees, though a section of table has been left open for others to bring whatever they feel is appropriate. (sorry guys, she doesn't have potato chips on Serenity)
in another part of the ballroom are several comfortable-looking chairs and cushions for people to sit at while they play an assortment of games. an empty bottle waits next to one cushion and there appear to be cards of somesort hanging out, as well.
and then, of course, is the area she's working on now, setting out bedding and blankets. if one gives her a good look, it appears that Inara is actually in her pyjamas. so wait, could this be? could it actually be a slumber party?
why yes it is! and once she's finished setting up the sleeping area, she walks to the entrance of the ballroom and sets out a large sign that reads 'Women of the Plane, would you like a relaxing evening together? Then please, by all means, join me -- Inara'
Okay guys, this is it! The post I mentioned back here. I'll set up a handful of threads for things like the food line, games, the actual slumber part of slumber party, etc., but feel free to mingle about and make your own! This is just a chance for people to build CR they might not otherwise have a chance to build.
Thread-style or log-style is fine by me, so write however you feel most comfortable. I know there was a suggestion in the last post about games being log-style and I'm fine with that, but I won't force anyone to use that format. This is just for fun and to build in-game relationships. I'm not gonna rate you on your writing! (Also, I'm very lazy lately, so I'll probably stick with thread-style anyway.
*cough*
Oh yes, and BOYS ARE ALLOWED TO CRASH. It is, after all, on the Plane, and while Inara would like to be picky about attendees, I'm an equal-opportunity kind of person, so come one, come all, says I!
And with that, have fun! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM, IM or e-mail me questions. I'll be headed to work shortly but have fun amongst yourselves!

Food Table

What a great idea. I could use some R&R after dealing with Vartox. Giuseppe has the best pizza, so we'll just call this my contribution.

I have to admit, I don't think I've had pizza in years. It's not something you find very often in my circles.

...In fact Cally likes that idea a lot. Which means that she may currently resemble a hamster with the amount of food that she's just taken on! And shall be munching away at it steadily.
Oh yeah, and she does have a big bag full of sausages at her feet. Have fun with that!]

Which is to say: absently fiddling with a shrimp to look busy, and attempting to not appear as slightly bewildered and out of place as she really does. Poor Doctor.]

Have a little boy "sneaking" up to the food table, then peering around to see if there's anyone who might notice him. He's not sure who the food is for, but it looks good! Would he need to ask for some? Or can he just take it...?

Er. Hello! ...I've missed something, haven't I?

Other than the well-labelled sign out front indicating this is a woman's gathering? No, not really.
