(no subject)

[The Doctor is on the Plane again, looking rather cheerful. It has a lot to do with the fact that his sense of Time seems to be back to normal, and he's finally rid of that damn card. It also has to do with the fact that he's just discovered the black hole on the Plane. You know, the one that has that sign reading "Please do not drop things or each other into the hole. Thank you!"

So of course, after making a few scientific measurements, Nine is busy dropping things in it. Harmless things, mind you, like bits of string, oddly shaped coins, bananas, etc.]
Definitely a black hole, yep! That's fantastic, how'd they get one of those in here? And more importantly, why isn't it sucking everything else in?

[now he's poking at it, and sticking his hand down there--] Blimey, that's cold! [hand goes back in the pocket, yes]
oliverplus: (Huh?)

[wide-eyed] What are you doing!?
oliverplus: (Skeptical)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-03 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
But you put your hand in it!
oliverplus: (Really?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-03 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
A hunch that could've cost you a hand!
oliverplus: (Looking)

Only because you got lucky. [crosses his arms, frowning disapprovingly] You sure your hand's okay?
oliverplus: (Looking)

[sighs, but he knows the Doctor won't listen to him anyway] So what's that black hole for?
oliverplus: (Considering)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-04 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[mutters pointedly] Testing what people will put in it.

Maybe...it's a way of hiding things? Or hiding something? Or powering something. I mean, that's what black holes do, isn't it?

What invisi--oh. [almost lost the cleverness points, oops. reaches out to poke at the area the Doctor is gesturing toward, but he doesn't get his hand anywhere near the hole, thank you] Wow, there is something there. How do you know it's metal?
oliverplus: (What?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-05 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah, but--wait! Chains? People were chained together?
oliverplus: (Looking)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-06 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
[eyes you--he bets you have been] So what happened then? You never figured out what sort of metal the chains were?
oliverplus: (Really?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-07 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
So how'd you get it off?
oliverplus: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-02-07 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously? [because, obviously, the Doctor should be able to get out of anything. how could he not?] You know, Doctor, usually this place is pretty cool, but sometimes I really don't like how it sounds.

And that doesn't answer the question of the what the Mystery Metal's doing right here, either. [pokes at it again]
