[Everyone's favourite Time Lord Founder has, one again, decided to grace the Plane with his presence. Only... something is not quite right about him now. For one thing, he's not wearing the heavy robes of his station -- rather, he has a set of loose robes that look eerily similar to those that the students of the Academy wear. He also look completely baffled as to how he managed to get here at all, and is slowly turning a circle, staring at the 'sky'.]

If this is your idea of a practical joke, Rassilon, I'm not impressed. If I miss my Chronological Studies lecture, Cardinal Luvis is going to have my hide; you know he's been looking for any reason to have me expelled.

[His words are spoken in a crisp, if very archaic, Capitoline accent.]

...Rassilon? I'm sure devising a way to teleport me into someone's observatory is amusing to you, but it is growing old rather quickly.

[When no response is forthcoming, 'Omega' begins to look worried, and glances around, noting the random collection of structures on the Plane. This is definitely not an observatory.]

I don't even-- Rass?



[OOC: Experiment time! Omega has been regressed into his 130-year-old self called Peylix, fresh from receiving his failing 'omega' grade and still a few years from graduating the Academy. He's still a brilliant scientist, but is mostly known for the grade he received and his dangerous ideas, and as a result, is much less sure of himself than he eventually will be. (He also really doesn't like to be called Omega.) Have fun traumatising him! >3]

Peylix. [have an indelicate mental nudge, Nine] Are you Gallifreyan?

[Nine is startled by that mental nudge, and swiftly throws up some shields. If it really is Peylix, he doesn't want him seeing what happens to Gallifrey.] I am, yes. Time Lord, actually. And I know an older version of you.

[One more second.]

[Okay, now, cue---]

[Hysterical laughter!]

Oh, no, my Lord, Rass hasn't a thing to do with this. How old are you? [he's enjoying this too much] I think you're younger than I am! By nearly a millennium, maybe.

You will, eventually. I'm not gonna lie to you and say we're best buds, but we've got some friends in common. What's with the duds, Omega? Better than usual, but I gotta say, your commitment to wearing dresses is a teensy bit concerning.

Oh my, I haven't seen anything like--no. No, they're not quite right, not during my time in the Academy. Where did you get those, Lord Omega?

[annoyed] Oh, for the last time -- my name is not Omega, no matter what those ridiculous gossips say. And these are the required uniform for Academy students. I should think that was obvious.

I'm well aware what those are, even if the design is slightly different from the ones I wore. But if your name isn't "Omega", what should I call you then?

[snapping] Peylix.

[then he winces] Sorry. It's just very grating hearing 'Omega' day in and day out. It wasn't an amusing joke the first hundred times I heard it, and it certainly isn't one now.

[smiles, waving at the man in the odd robes who is seemingly a newcomer] First time here, I take it? This isn't an observatory, although it'd make an awesome one if it were!

The interface is quite nice, yes. [peering at Oliver] You're not Gallifreyan, are you?

[blinks] Whoa, wait! You are!?

[he waves a hand] This place. We're obviously not actually standing in the vaccuum of space. If it were an observatory, however, this would be an excellent way of projecting it.

[surprised look] Yes, I am.

[his smile holds none of the cheerfully sinister ambition he's feeling; instead, it's gentle, understanding] This is nothing to do with Rassilon, I'm afraid. ...Well. Probably. I wouldn't put much past him, really.

[Turns to face Five, then stops, staring.] ...neither would I. You must be the Doctor, correct?

[studying him, curious] Your... other self did, yes. I hadn't believed it, but he was insistent on showing me.
