[Finding herself on the plane is Rose Marion Tyler, arriving from 1950's London and her own universe. Her gaze is lifted, fixed and unwavering to the sky and is riveted to the large, gaping hole above her. Several seconds pass, uncounted, in silence with her lips slightly parted in shock.]

Well, this is...different.

Can't imagine where I've ended up, or how I've made it here for that matter. Sure didn't come by TARDIS, and if..

[Her speech pauses as a hitched, startled sound comes from her throat, prompting a wild look cast over her shoulder. The same repeats in the other direction, and then twice more, frantic. A little breath comes roughly from her lips again, now filled with a note of panic.]

...and if I didn't come by TARDIS, then that means the Doctor's not here, either.

Right, then that's...well, didn't expect it, really. In London just a second ago, middle of the crowd after the coronation and then I'm just...here. Still haven't any idea where here is, but it's definitely not London. Not any place I've seen before, either, or heard about. The Doctor talked about..vortexes and things, but seeing one...

...don't...really have words for it.

[Another few moments pass and then Rose blinks twice, as if to pull herself mentally away from the hole overhead. A slightly strained smile twitches at the corners of her lips, in an attempt to be confident but falling short.]

Right, then! Well, am I alone here? Got to be someone else around, right? Someone who can tell me what's going on?

Anyone? Hello!

[scoffs] I don't believe it! He never bothers to change.

Yeah? When's that?

Uh...when he wore a long scarf and had big hair and teeth. [how do you express times for the Doctor, anyway?] Oh no, wait! The Doctor here said that was his Fourth self. Does that help?

[now she bursts into giggles because that mental image is too funny for words] That does help a good bit, yeah! Think we've got quite a few Doctors in between mine and yours.

[grins, inclined to agree that Four's appearance truly is too funny for words] Really? Which one's yours, then?

Well, first one I met was the Ninth, and I was there when he became the Tenth. We'd been traveling together ever since, up til I came here, really.

Really? You've been with two of them!? [that somehow makes her super-cool] The Ninth's the one I met here--the sword-fighting one. [makes a face; he's still not happy about that] But I only travelled with the Fourth, which I guess was a long time ago--for him.

Yeah, long time back! What was he like, then?

[laughs] You know, he's about the same in a lot of ways--casual about danger, getting in danger constantly, going off about things no one else understands. I mean, you know what it's like. But my Doctor was...a bit more manic, I guess. Always off on different tangents. Like...if Tigger ever went on Prozac. [nods] Yeah, that's basically him.

[bursts into laughter, because the Tigger on Prozac reference is pretty right on, and it takes her a little while to recover from the giggles]

Sorry, it's just that..well, that you're right on with that. Always bouncing here and there, it's..

[she giggles again, then finds her composure..a bit more, at least]

Well, he's still a bit like that. But I'd like to meet him. Seems like meeting different..hims, would be interesting, eh?

[laughs with her because it is a really good mental image] Is he? The one I met--the Ninth--seemed a little more serious. It's a bit weird!

Oh, it is interesting! But sorta strange. I mean...he's him, but he's not exactly--well, I guess you already know that! [frowns] The him I knew isn't around here, though. Well, not yet. You never know!

[she nods here, because oh, does she ever remember!] Oh, his Ninth was much more serious. But he's a good man. Really, got a lot of fond memories with that one.

Yeah, of course!

[smiles] Well, that's the thing about him, isn't it? He's always a good man. And he also seems to have a knack for showing up everywhere, so it could just be a matter of time.

Speaking of, did you want me to show you any of the places around here?

Oh, I'd love that!

[she brightens considerably at that, because being shown around would be wonderful!]

Anywhere, really! I love seeing new places.

Well, there's the beach, theatre, forest, Coliseum... What sounds best?
