[Finding herself on the plane is Rose Marion Tyler, arriving from 1950's London and her own universe. Her gaze is lifted, fixed and unwavering to the sky and is riveted to the large, gaping hole above her. Several seconds pass, uncounted, in silence with her lips slightly parted in shock.]

Well, this is...different.

Can't imagine where I've ended up, or how I've made it here for that matter. Sure didn't come by TARDIS, and if..

[Her speech pauses as a hitched, startled sound comes from her throat, prompting a wild look cast over her shoulder. The same repeats in the other direction, and then twice more, frantic. A little breath comes roughly from her lips again, now filled with a note of panic.]

...and if I didn't come by TARDIS, then that means the Doctor's not here, either.

Right, then that's...well, didn't expect it, really. In London just a second ago, middle of the crowd after the coronation and then I'm just...here. Still haven't any idea where here is, but it's definitely not London. Not any place I've seen before, either, or heard about. The Doctor talked about..vortexes and things, but seeing one...

...don't...really have words for it.

[Another few moments pass and then Rose blinks twice, as if to pull herself mentally away from the hole overhead. A slightly strained smile twitches at the corners of her lips, in an attempt to be confident but falling short.]

Right, then! Well, am I alone here? Got to be someone else around, right? Someone who can tell me what's going on?

Anyone? Hello!

[oh hey, self!]

It's not a vortex or any of that. I think it's not anyway from what I've seen and heard.

[oh, hello there! Look at us!]

What have you seen and heard?

[We are very pretty!]

[We could always use more us around here]

It's this sorta meeting place between worlds and dimensions and timelines and all that. But don't worry, it's not like worlds fracturing, universes collapsing sorta universes meeting. And there's a whole load of Doctors about the place keeping an eye on all that. There was another...us..around for a while, too.

[laughs]

It's still all sorta weird, knowing there's more than one me - us - about, you know. [another laugh] Course you know, you're me.

[aren't we just?]

[It's really like looking in a mirror. One that talks back and..well, bit weird but not as bad as it could be, really!]

So how many of us are there, running around this place?

[better, really, to know rather than be that surprised every few seconds by running into myself. Well, ourselves, at that!]

And how many Doctors is a whole load?

[not that, of course, she minds]

Think it's just us two now. Haven't seen other...us...about the place a lot lately.

[there will be an army of Roses. It will be epic!]

There's gotta be at least four from what I can tell. Two that look like our second Doctor, one that's our first, and there's a version of him from back before we knew him, too. It's all a bit weird, especially seeing that our first Doctor here never even traveled with us.

[Roses love themselves, as they should ♥]

Well, guess that's a bit all right, then? Might be weird if we had too many of us around.

Then again, might be right fun!

[she's more inclined to think the latter, at the moment]

Four, that's quite the lot, isn't it! Have you met them all?

Bet we could both think up a few things weirder than that though, yeah?

I got to meet four so far, the ones that I told you about. The way this all works, wouldn't be too far off if there were an extra one to show up unexpected like. Would be just like him to drop in on himself and get the whole lot of us even more confused.

[she laughs here] Oh, definitely! What'd be at the top of your list?

If he drops in on himself, I want to be there to see that. Imagine the look on his face, yeah? Prolly look at each other and start mimicing movements.

[gives this a good minute of thought] That first trip into the future, it's gotta be. It was all so alien and being up there for the end of the world. Don't think anything could really be too strange after that.

[laughs] His attention was bad enough to start with, if he goes and gets himself to play with they'll be no chance of getting him to focus again.

[the idea is just too funny, two of them at the same time.]

They both start stroking bits of the TARDIS..then it's all downhill from there, yeah?

We'll have to give the three of them a minute alone.

[she laughs and then scrunches her nose, making a face]

Yeah, that's a really disturbing image.

[she bursts into laughter all over again]

Not exactly something you want to have to see, right?

Not even something I want to imagine having to see. How about we just pretend the thought never happened.
