[Someone looks particularly annoyed today... then again, what else is new? She simply stands, her arms crossed, looking around for a moment before speaking.]

I do not think that I will be around here often for the time being. I'd rather this time of year progressed faster than be drawn out due to the time dilation issue. The sooner everyone eats their cake and gets it all over with, the better.

Woah, holy shit! Man, I wasn't expecting that!

[Not completely rational right now, she fires off a volley of nails at him, testing his reflexes.]

{Luckily, they're pretty great. He dodges the majority by dipping low, then fires some energy beams from his wrists to get rid of the rest.}

Come on, nails? I know you hate me, but that's a little extreme!

[Manages to pull herself together long enough to say...]

Still, really don't want to die and-or get hurt, and I don't want to have to hurt you. I mean, the bondage monster look doesn't suit you anyways.

[Something snaps, and her shape glows, before shattering and leaving her in her original form. She wobbles for a moment, fading in and out of the Plane as in her reality her concentration lapses.]

{He comes closer and puts his hands on her shoulders to steady her, or catch her if she falls. He may be a chauvinistic jerk sometimes, but he's a good guy}

Woah, are you alright? Take it easy.

[After a moment or two she finally manages to refocus enough to keep her attention fully on the Plane.]

I dislike switching. It gives me the worst headache.

...Man, switching to that and I'd be worried about more than a headache. How about a glass of water? I don't think I've seen a place to get any aspirin here, anyways.

I'll need to take it when I'm not here. It won't do me any good otherwise.

[Realizes that he's a bit closer than she'd like, and quickly straightens up so as not to need his assistance.]

{Stands back, holding his hands up defensively}

You sure about that? It definitely hurts for real when you get hurt here. Like when you slapped me that last time. My cheek was red for a couple of hours.

[Rubs her temples for a moment.] The translation into reality is a bit different on my end. Don't concern yourself about it.

Well, I am concerned about it--It's part of the job description. But you'll be okay, right? How about you not turn into that...uh...thing anymore.

...What exactly is your job?

The cataloging and examination of other dimensions, and handling any extra-dimensional threats that come up.

...Man, really? I guess this place must freak you out, then.

Not that much. It's a bit more scenic, though.

So what kind of extra dimensions are you examining normally, then? 'Cause I'd put this one pretty high on the list in terms of "weird."

They're all very different. What is weird for some is probably normal for others.

So this one is normal for you? Crazy. I couldn't think of this being normal for anyone.

I suppose I'm just not surprised by much anymore.
