[...Did the temperature just drop a few degrees?

The answer to that is probably (unless you have about fifty coats on) something along the lines of: yes, yes it did. Why is that? Because a Cally just arrived on the Plane; except this Cally is not her usual bubbly self: instead she's sitting cross legged on the ground; with her eyes closed and her eyelashes wreathed in something that looks strangely like frost... In fact that strange frost thing appears to be spreading in a small circle shape around her.

She just remains in that oddly cold state for a moment- and then, suddenly, her eyes snap open- but her head doesn't turn. Instead she just keeps staring straight ahead with a oddly blank expression. Not really seeming to breath- in fact the only indication that she's actually alive are a few rather tiny twitches.

Yep, she'll just be sitting in her creepy corner of the Plane now; being creepy~]

[Her eyes maaaaaay just shift to him but she still isn't blinking and only twitches a little at the D-word; obviously she may be continuing in her blank crusade for a while]

[...The stick might've been a good idea]

Hmmmmm.

[yeah, he'll be going for that stick now.

and he returns! and pokes her in the arm. not hard, but enough to nudge her]

[She does twitch! A big twitch; and her lineface may look slightly less frozen when she rocks back into her old position- another poke maybe? Being all cold and linefacy isn't much fun]

[frowns and pokes her shoulder a couple times with the stick, and quite annoyingly too. he has one more idea that might work if this doesn't...]

[She twitches a few more times and each time she seems to defrost just a little bit- but yet she still doesn't start being herself again; do what you will with her! She might wake up then.]

[tosses the stick away and circles her slowly, thinking. then, once he's behind her, he leans in close to her ear and whispers:]

I think possums are the ugliest and most despicable creatures in the world.

[Did he just-]

[What is he-]

[Why that little-!]

[She's still half in that cold place but her head snaps around to face him anyway- and it's perfectly clear that she's slowly waking up adn the ice is slowly melting- poke her with a stick? Nope. Insult her? Nope, Wait for her for ages? Only after a long time. Insult her possums? Baby, she's coming to yell at you]

What?

[wisely steps back the moment her head moves, but he grins when he hears her voice]

I had a feeling that would work!

[She tries to jump to her feet to glare at him but it ends up as more of a tumble onto her front- her limbs are still pretty much frozen after all. After a minute or so she forces her limbs into some approximation of working order and pushes herself up onto her hands and knees; starting to crawl towards him- sort of like The Ring really!]

What did you say?

[he's so not scared by that! but just in case, he stays out of her reach]

I said I had a feeling that would work. You didn't really believe me, did you?

[Cally would be rather pleased by that if she felt normal! But as for now she freezes again; staring up at him in a way that is... Blankly confused but on the edge of waking up]

...Lies?

[nods] All lies.

[he drops off the Plane, returning with a large white fuzzy robe that he starts draping around her shoulders] I didn't mean a single word.

Oh.

[She stays cold and stiff for a moment after he puts the robe on and then seems to slump into herself; yawning as she curls into a big ball on the floor] ...You better not have.

[sits down in front of her, wrapping his arms around his knees]

What happened to you?

[Another yawn; her eyelashes drooping before she shakes her head slightly] ...I dunno, maybe I tried to raise something? That might be- Another yawn] it.

[taps her cheek] Hey come on, stay awake! Keep your eyes open Cally.

[She starts up again; smothering another yawn] ...Buh?

Something bad must have happened to you to be like this. Just keep talking. I can get you something more to warm you up. What would you like?

Oh, mmkay [Pause] I don't think it was bad just... I dunno; dunno what I did [Another yawn] D'you have chocolate?

[mumbles] How can you not know?

[at his normal pitch] Chocolate? We should have some left over from the last Valentine's Day. [drops off the Plane to check. hmm, nope. but! he returns with a large mug of gourmet hot chocolate--complete with marshmallows.] Here, try this. It's hot though, so be careful you don't burn your tongue.

...Valentine's day? [She gives another yawn after that but the smell of chocolate wakes her up quite a bit and she gropes for the cup sleepily] ...Like hot; might wake me up a bit [Yawn] ya never know.

Hope so! [grins and sits down near her again]

Hmmm, how to explain Valentine's Day... In my country, it's traditionally where all the girls give chocolates to those they like! That sometimes includes their friends too, not just the ones they have crushes on. A month later on White Day, those who were given chocolates give that person a gift back in return. Hikaru and I receive so much it's very troublesome to buy gifts for everybody in return. [a sigh. oh, the life of a handsome young teenage male.]

[...The Hot chocolate just scorched her tongue; so she'll be making faint yelping noises now]

...Can boys do it too? [Another yelping noise] An' at least you two try! 'S nice of ya both.

[sighs] I did warn you it was hot...

Sure boys can do it too, but we don't. Not in Japan at least. But yes...we do try. [another sigh that's slightly on the dramatic side] We don't wish to upset anybody.

S'good- need hot.

That's nice of ya! I try not to upset anybody either- but they keep gettin' upset anyway; so I have to fix that too [A sigh
] ...'S nice but people can be odd 'bout stuff.
