08][Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head.

[With a fair number of documents lying on top of the table in front of her in the bar, the Madame President was taking some time on the Astral Plane to go over some paperwork before meeting with the other Temporal Powers later that day. It was a new choice in scenery for her but after these past few days, she needed a break from her routine.

And a strong drink at that.

Her hair was tied back with the exception of strands that hung loose on either side of her face. The crest marking her position on the council hung around her neck, as usual, but she was wearing more practical clothes for now: black riding pants and a blue blouse. Her own Tarot card was tucked away in the left pocket of her pants which she would pull out to look over every now and again. Not too long ago she and Leela had gone out for their usual stroll in the gardens to discuss matters of what was going on within the Citadel and other worlds. Romana valued her opinion more and more these days despite the Council's objection.

The pen in her hand tapped against the document in front of her while she sipped her favorite wine from a thin-stemmed glass.]

[look who it is! It's a Doctor! He looks infuriated!]

Clever.

[srs irritation here] The time lock. Why?

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
[doesn't like feeling like he's not being paid attention to, so he tries to snatch the document from her hand]

The ship could be empty when it crashes.

[he sits down beside her]

Why are all your Time Lords becoming alcoholics, Lady President?

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. You know, I think I found the Valeyard more tolerable than what that one Doctor has become. Equally idiotic in his plans for restructuring Time, but less obnoxious. Share the drink with your loyal subject, there's a darling President.

I know! Not using protection while he fools around with Time. He's going to get some pregnant. Or worse, a miscarriage.

[he makes to pour himself a glass]

[Omega watches Romana from a bit away, curious. He has not met her, but his copy of the Doctor's memories are tainted with nostalgia. And she is apparently the President of Gallifrey, as well.

How very interesting.]

[identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, it wouldn't hurt to make himself known, at least not at this moment. He steps forward, curious.]

Lady Romanadvoratrelundar.

[identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
[If it wasn't immediately obvious from the way he carried himself, Omega's words would surely give him away; his Gallifreyan is archaic, with a brisk capitoline accent, and far more proper than the Doctor ever bothered with.]

Unlikely. You traveled with the Doctor -- his fourth incarnation, I believe?

[identity profile] miseardae.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
Time Lords seem to be favouring this bit of the Plane, lately. [he approaches with a faint, curious smile before gesturing to the paperwork] Would it be illegal for me to help you with that?

[identity profile] miseardae.livejournal.com 2009-12-10 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[an understanding one in return] I can manage that, too. [slips into the stool chair across from her] How has it been, on Gallifrey?

[identity profile] miseardae.livejournal.com 2009-12-13 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
[wry smile] Point.

[softly] I would still like to change things, someday.

[for the sake of argument, we'll pretend he hasn't gone off with the tenth Doctor yet and has returned to the bar after having a little wander--and is still in his ceremonial robes, oops. he almost turns around to avoid her, but he figures with the noise he's made simply from his approach, he might as well be the first one to speak.]

Ahh, Lady Romana. So the rumours of your presence here are true indeed!

[identity profile] damn-time-ring.livejournal.com 2009-12-11 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[shrugs--as best as one can in full ceremonial dress] Well, why would you have been, my lady?

[ooc: No worries! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask!]

[identity profile] damn-time-ring.livejournal.com 2010-01-05 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Or, perhaps, we're not from the exact same point in time. Besides, I doubt that trait of yours would ever truly fade away.
