20; This is the life you see [the devil tips his hat to me]

[And here's a Doctor. He arrives on the Plane in his clean blue suit, looking more than a little satisfied with the world. Things have gone fairly well in his great plan (tentatively named: "Not Dying", though possibly to be renamed at some later date.]

[Rather than arriving on the Plane with his usual lab supplies or experiments, he's arrived with a checklist and a box full of dusty holiday brochures for a variety of planets and time periods.]

Predictions of my death have been grossly exaggerated, so it seems.

[for now, anyway]

[The Doctor has been canon-updated through Waters of Mars. Feedback is most appreciated.]

[her gaze flickers to the origin of the touch, but she doesn't flinch]

My own life. My career. My rules.

You never did like me in your dust, Doctor. I went off in search of my own.

[she leans in herself]

Just a rule when you share a secret Doctor. It shouldn't be something we all already know.

I guess that depends on what kind of dancing you mean. You never could just ask a question.
