[if one happens to be near the infamous bar on the Plane, you might see a big green thing making a beeline for that very location. of course, it isn't a big green monster or anything remotely similar heading that way, but a very worried and agitated Time Lord in full ceremonial robes, the colour of which indicates he's from the Arcalian Chapter of the Academy.
granted, if he isn't seen, one can damn well hear the swish, swish, swish from those heavy, multi-layered robes as he moves, or the crashing of poor glass bottles that keep getting knocked to the ground thanks to his robes and cumbersome shoulder-headpiece he's wearing as he sets about fixing himself a drink.
...make that multiple drinks. he may be there for a while.]
[ooc: Straxus has had a bit of a canon update, which can be seen here. The new stuff starts in blue.]

[pours himself a glass of plum wine] Would you care for any? [eyes her beer with an arched eyebrow]
no subject
[She clutches her beer closer (BEEEEEEEEEEEEER) looking faintly defensive] I prefer the ordinary stuff.
no subject
[shrugs and puts the cork back in the bottle] Please yourself. All we have is "ordinary stuff" back on Gallifrey. Nothing quite like this.

...As shown when she shortly returns with a bottle and two glasses] I love modern day alcohol; it can be a bit soft in some places but there's so much variety top it.
no subject
A bit soft, eh? Suppose that's a matter of opinion and location. I'm afraid we don't have that much variety--at least, not in the way that I've seen in just my quick perusals here.
no subject
Some of it can be soft; and some of it has to be served in little cups which is just mad really- all or nothing or else there's no point [She lifts her glass to take a gulp and smacks her lips] ...COme on then, drink up- it'll be good for you.
no subject
oh what the heck. he grabs it and tosses it back--or as far back as one can move his head wearing that head-shoulder piece, anyway--and starts to cough]
And this? [his voice cracks] There's no possible way this can be "soft"!
no subject
No, this is better than most of what's on offer.
[Eventually her chuckles stop (seriously, best friend ever) and she smirks at him] ...I'm guessing you didn't like it?

I opened my mouth, then swallowed the gin once it was in my mouth.
