[So, basically, the Doctor is sitting under a tree in a nice patch of blue grass, writing away in a notepad. He frowns as he reads it over before just scribbling it all out, tearing the paper up. The paper, luckily for him, degrades into nothing by the time it reaches the ground. He keeps writing, ever hopeful, pausing as if mulling over his words but given the amount of paper ripping he's doing, he can't seem to get them right.]

And when you tried to hide the future from her! I have no idea what this is, but I love it.

I hate it. Oh, look, it must be true.

All right, memory lane for 300! For our 80th year thermodynamics lecture, that time when my project was destroyed for no reason I could discover. Was that you, really?

Somewhere nice, are you? [there is some bitterness to her voice]

Not really. I don't like it here at all, ever since this nasty encounter with the Cybermen here a rather long time ago. I can still hear them walking every time I come here. Remember the screams...
[Another pause and he's a bit relived.] Right, so, anyway, how are you, Martha?

I would suggest that you waste paper by not considering what to write first, but it seems of no consequence.
no subject
Ah, well, I won't know if it works unless I write it first. So far, no, it's not working.

You're the guy that gave me that communicator a while ago, right? I never got your name, so sorry about that part.
no subject
Oh, sorry, no, you must have the wrong person. Well, the wrong one of us. Was he wearing what I'm wearing? More or less.

This is secret keeping paper. The moment you rip it anywhere that isn't the top, it dissolves, taking anything written with it.

What are you working on?

A sort of personal project. Testing a theory which, so far, is not supporting my hypothesis.

But her natural curiosity can't be curbed entirely, and she can't resist coming over to see what he's up to. If nothing else, it might be a distraction.]

The problem comes when he opens his mouth.]
Trying to lie.
[He pauses, then wrinkles his nose.] I have to get used to that.
