004

[There is a Sorin standing right in the middle of the Plane and staring up at the stars. He is wearing his default expression (AKA- "oh good god; why do these things keep happening to me?") but he isn't just standing there and looking grumpy, oh no- in one hand he holds two photos- one of a incredibly pretty blonde woman (the books words, not mine) and the other of a rather tough looking woman. In his other hand he clutches his note- it's quite crumpled as if it's been read quite a bit and dissected piece by piece (in a entirely mental way)]

[He keeps darting glances down from the stars between his note and the photos]

...Seeing the future would be a useful skill at the moment; then I'd know if his obsession would destroy him. Then I'd know what exactly the note actually means.

...Why can't the universe give me a fairly peaceful year?

[Because that wouldn't be any fun Sorin; especially when you're being all stalkery! Somebody could get creeped out by him.

...Well, it isn't like he's creeped out everybody already- of course not creep

[returns it, with a bit of sympathy] In my experience, you have to wait until they figure it out on their own. Usually involves hitting rock bottom. Then you help them dig up again.

[faint, wistful smile] I hear you.

I hate to suggest this, but - if you ever help him with the consequences, try not to.

Sometimes, the best way to do that is let them fall down.
