[Pi is busily surveying the forest, although this time she seems to be rather bored. She looks around, then rolls her eyes.]

I've already done a report, what more am I supposed to write about? This plane was determined to not be eligible. We don't need any more documentation...

[She pokes at something in a half-hearted fashion, but this doesn't last more than a minute before she simply sits down against a tree, leans back and sighs.]

With the time dilation at least I don't have to worry about how long it takes. Perhaps if there was something engaging, it would be inspiring.

Is there anything engaging? It simply seems like a communication point filled with a collection of out-of-place objects.

A shame. Perhaps soon I won't have any more reason to come here. Once it's been catalogued, then unless it presents itself threateningly, we usually leave them alone.

I'm told it's invasive through mergers.

Mergers?

The alternate realities can mixing together. I don't know the extent of it. It's based on emotional connection.

Emotions can have an external effect as well... how interesting...

It seems some people lose track of what has merged.

It makes sense. When emotions are involved, control starts to break down.

[he pauses, on the verge of saying that she seems more emotional than before, but he decides another path]

I don't use these, so I couldn't tell you what it means.

So you may have an idea of what this refers to.

It's only a passing knowledge.

Elementally, cups are water. They're an emotional suite. Connected to clergy. They became the hearts. Seven of cups is overflow, mental or emotional. It tends to indicate fantasizing or dreaming.

It's minor arcana, so its influence isn't as strong as a major card.

[concentrates on the card for a moment, his expression flipping into a frown, and then that fades]

It's interesting that so much symbolism can be contained in these images. I don't think it's something I'd go out of my way to look into, though.

I did. It came with the card I refused to take. I dealt with the card. Then I received another note indicating that the author had recovered it and would return it to me on request. [pause] And that the author had classical music for me.

It seems that whoever took a card must be caught up in something that's going on.

[Thinks for a moment, and then rolls her eyes.] Now I suppose my next assignment is going to be writing up rules for extradimensional conduct. I can't wait...

Is that part of your studies in this field?

Currently I am pioneering extra-dimensional contact that is not in a (perceived) malicious context. This is the first plane that we have encountered that has has life that seems willing to communicate. Everything I do here is considered research.

Right now I just want to take a break.

This place is helpful in that.

You mentioned in particular that life here communicated. Have you encountered life on other planes?
