[A messy-haired teenage boy suddenly appears on the plane and looks around curiously.]

Okay, this definitely a good news bad news moment. The good news? What there is of it? I'm still alive. Well, I'm not any more dead than I was already. And I was definitely having some doubts after the whole freaky twin thing. The bad news? Which kind of totally trumps the good news. I think I'm stranded. Why can't I ever get stranded in normal places? I mean, I could totally handle getting stuck at a bus stop or airport. Nice normal places. Why is it always some kind of endless void? Or possibly outer space? Same difference, really. Though I have to admit the scenery is a huge improvement over the ghost zone.

In retrospect, entering that shop with the weird-o twins might not have been the smartest thing I have ever done. Note to self, I have got to stop jumping into these places without looking first.

Well, almost normal. Normal is sitting in front of the TV on Sunday watching the Super Bowl, and then maybe going and saving the world.

Well, the getup isn't just for costume parties. Supervillains start trying to do shit, and the superheroes stop them. I could give examples, but I think it's kind of self explanatory.

Yeah, I think I get it. So, are there a lot of these heroes and villains where you come from?

There are whole societies full of them. I've been in a few, but yeah, I don't think they were for me. I kind of work solo now.

Yeah, probably. But that's what we get to live with, I guess.

But that's fine. Uhh, this is the Astral Plane, and if you couldn't tell already, people from all kinds of worlds can come here. Times too, but the worlds thing is a little more forward. You can leave and come back whenever you want by thinking about, and time doesn't pass while you're here, so the Plane is a great place for slacking off.

It's pretty convenient. This place is alright enough, just...weird. Someone mentioned that it's supposed to be some kind of experiment, but I haven't even seen anything bad here.

There may be some dangerous people here from my world, though, so I'm trying to find out who, but that's not really much of an experiment.
