[Alex is confused. This is extremely obvious by the way she's standing, mouth slightly open, blinking at the sky.]
No...
[She looks around. She puts a hand to her head, feeling the gauze dressing she's become accustomed to. It feels real enough, but that's an old trick, isn't it?]
This is absurd. Completely. It's all in your head, Alex, just like last time, you knew this could have happened again but...
Well, to be fair, my mind could have conjured up something just a bit more familiar, couldn't it have? I mean, I think I bloody owe myself that much.
[Her eyes close for a moment. If it looks like she's just trying to will the Plane away, well, that's precisely what she's doing.]
I'd put up with Gene Hunt over this. But really, is 2008 too much to ask for? London, Earth, 2008, I made it back once already, wasn't that enough?
[She's shouting now, at the star-speckled sky, possibly at the point of hysteria. But don't expect her to go admitting it.]
I'm not leaving there again, you hear me? I am not going through this again!
No...

{But here's Diva, staring with her head cocked to the side. Gene Hunt, 2008? Why, you sound sort of familiar.}
My, you'd think another had come. How do you know Gene, exactly? I don't think anyone had mentioned any girl other than Phyllis. You don't really look like a Phyllis, though!

[At any rate, here's Alex, Diva, staring at you like you just walked off from another planet. Which may be a bit of a poor analogy.]
That would be because I'm not "a Phyllis."
[Insert waggling fingers. Boy, is she in a mood.]
It's kind of a long story, one that I wouldn't particularly like to get into, if you wouldn't mind. Where exactly am I?

{Whimsically,} This is the Astral Plane, it's a place between realities, time doesn't pass while you're here, and you go home by thinking about it. There. Easy enough?

So, what is this? Some kind of extremely lucid dream?

It's very easy to get back, if you think about it.

Can you just tell me where I am or how I got here?

You know... If you did want to go back, it is actually fairly simple to leave.
[He may also be wincing a little from the pitch of his voice, but he's at least making a pretty good effort to hide it.]

Yeah, that would be great. Any suggestions?

also placeholder because I won't be around all today ; ;]
Plenty of birds want to put up with me, luv. Usually know who the hell they are first, though.

[And, surprisingly, Alex is less than pleased to see this familiar face. Or maybe that's unsurprising.]
You. I should have known you'd be here. You seem to be the key in everything insane that's ever happened to me, Gene.
