[There is a Haseo sitting down somewhere on the Plane! She seems a little grumpier than usual, which is odd. Life in her reality's been normal for the most part, and she's been doing what she usually does in day-to-day life: training, more training, spend time with relatives and friends, sleep...the usual.
However, the 'spend time with friends and relatives' option has ended interestingly, from the looks of it, because she's got a new pair of dual swords! ... She is not overjoyed about this, though. She's just staaaring at the swords and not looking too inclined to pick them up and start training. Why is this so?
...the swords have ribbons on the hilts. These are impractical and just plain weird.
Relatives, why do you do these things? Anyhoo, feel free to bother her. She'll be staring at the swords and wondering what she did to deserve this in the meantime.]

[...Oh, the swords.] ...Relative gave 'em to me.

Relative's taste, apparently. That, or she thought I'd like it for some reason, I don't know why.

Looks at the swords.]
Do you need a pair of scissors?

I don't know.

Is it customary on your world for gifts to have ribbons on them? I'm sure that they're simply there to indicate that these are gifts. Removing them will increase the functionality, right?

Then remove them!

...I'll be taking these back to my reality, now, and the next time I get to see my relative, I'll ask her what's up with the ribbons. It's obvious she went to some trouble to get them; I don't like the damn ribbons, but I'm not going to disrespect her efforts.
[Disappears from the Plane for a moment, then returns without the ribbon-covered sharp pointy things, and standing. Still looks wary, though.]

My apologies. I let my temper get the better of me.

'Sides, didn't you mention something about that before? [Thinkiiiing for a moment. That's right, that's right, there's always the off chance of it being that thing Pi mentioned, right?] If it can't be helped, then that's that, I guess.

I'll admit, that was kind of out of nowhere earlier, but - in this case, at least, it helps to know things like that. [Rubs her head again, obviously thinking hard. Yeah, she does that.] ...maybe I'm reading too much into it, huh? Pi from my world tends t' snap sometimes too, after all.
[Of course, that's mostly when there's work on/someone (usually Haseo or Kuhn) did something utterly stupid/hangovers are happening, but let's ignore those inconvenient little details, shall we? :3c]

I think it's the nature of our work. If her position is anything like mine, that is...

Hnn. Probably.
