[Sitting on the plane is what appears to be a very large animal, something similar to a wolf, but not quite - after all, wolves don't have golden fur in the shape of an ankh (and on the chest, for those wondering), nor do they have large Anubis-like ears. That's just silly. Its fur, other than the gold, is mostly brown, black on the back, with white ears, and a grime-y sort of green belly. A single silver triangle is under each eye.

Spread out in front of it are 78 face down cards, and next to it is a sign that simply reads 'CHOOSE A CARD'.]

Is it necessary to choose one?

Well, I'm not going to force you. If you don't want to choose one, then hey, you don't have to. But if you do want to choose one, you can choose only one. And you can't go 'best two out of three', if you were thinking about doing that.

[picks up a card and looks at it curiously, because sociopathy means never having to use impulse control]

Hm? [It glances down as if it had forgotten the cards were even there.] Oh! Yeah. They are. I've never actually seen Tarot cards before this, can you believe it? I mean, I don't think they're so common that they rain for the sky, but you'd think a well learned and well travelled guy like me would have seen 'em, but nope!

[It ignores the fact that his appearance is not conducive to 'well learned and well travelled'.]

[He cocks his head (and I'm tired of using 'it').]

Sure? I mean, I can tell you what happens when you pick one. You'll end up with a card! Simple as that!

[He wags his tail enthusiastically.]

Cards! I like cards, you can play all sort of games... Hey, you look nice- can I hug you or something?

Certainly not. If I remember correctly, swords tend to indicate misfortune.

There are enough cards here for a tarot deck. What significance will any given card have should I take one?[why yes, someone IS slightly jaded by plane shennanigans]

Just don't scratch behind my ears unless you've gotten out of range of my back legs. I wouldn't want you to get bruised or anything.

[He does the closest thing he can to a shrug.]

I dunno, I'd think swords would only indicate misfortune if they were pointed at you. If you're the one wielding the sword, well, there's hardly any reason for you to be afraid of it, is there.

Well, I was told to set this up and tell you guys to pick a card if you wanted to. But only one. And you can't trade for a new one if you don't like the one you pick.
