Oh, but what is it? I knew that hotels were getting nicer and nicer, but really, this is just too much. Ah, actually it looks like something that might be on that moving pictures box. Pretty, pretty~

{She wanders around, looking at the sky above and below, having her hands out to the side like she was trying to balance.}

...No, it's a hotel. The Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. I may not know my way around, but it definitely a hotel.

Is this some kind of weird technology maybe? Ah, Amshel says that things have changed a lot in thirty years, so I guess it makes sense. It's so pretty and real looking though.

It really is! Ah, it's like when I lived in France or Russia. There weren't any bright lights like there are here in New York City, so you could see the stars like this every night. Ne, but New York isn't awful either. It's just different.

[smiles and looks around] I much prefer being able to see the stars. You sound like quite the traveler, though. Must be nice, eh?

I do not know how this place came to be, but I do know that it should not be.

Oh, I guess so~ Sometimes it's nice, but other times it's really boring. It's always meetings this and meetings that when Amshel is charge. Most of the people that are nobles or are powerful are old and boring, so I hate that part. It's much more fun to just go to the parties afterwards or anything but listening to old men argue.

{Her fingers come to her lips with a little smile and a melodious giggle}
Then why didn't you say so? Ne, but that's a funny question to ask too. Well, it's 2006 right now, but I wake up at different time periods. 19th century, the early 20th, the 1940s, the 1970s, and now I made it into a new millennium.

Oooh, business travel. That part is far less fun. Parties aren't so bad, though. Especially if they have nibbles and something to drink at them.

...Something like that. ♥ Amshel has always been involved in politics, and I end up having to be. Ah, but I'm usually just something Amshel uses to bargain for what he wants usually. Those meetings are still awful though. Oh, except in the Russian court. Those were fun! Ah, I got to dance with all the dukes, barons, and the nobles~

Time traveling? Aha~ No, not really. I've been alive that long. I'm 173 this year.
{Still smiling brightly, or at least until he says 'Doctor'. It's barely noticeable, but now her sweet tone has a little wariness in it.}

Being a bargaining chip does sound boring. At least you make the best of it, then? And is that right? That's quite old for most species.

Ahhh [clears his throat] Not exactly. It's just what I go by. I do like fixing things but I'm not exactly a medical doctor. More like a...fights monsters doctor. I protect people, that sort of thing.

Oh, definitely. Ne, but my sister and I are the only ones left. Humans named us Chiropterans. But we could be immortal, maybe~ We're the only ones, so no one knows how long we live.

Oh, thank goodness! {laughs cheerfully} I don't really like doctors. But that sounds like a nice thing. A fighting monsters kind of doctor seems like a nice person, or at least as long as Doctor doesn't try and fight me~♥
