[Marta is mid-pacing when she appears on the plane, hands clasped behind her back and head tilted upward as she loses herself in her own thoughts.]

Come on, Marta, think. There's got to be a way to show him...

[Emil appears on the Plane a moment later. He's also pacing, and looking at a small notebook in his palm, but when he notices Marta's talking to herself he puts it away.]

Hey, Marta... You're not mad because Genis doesn't like your cooking, are you?

No! I'm not mad! [Because that's convincing. She's stopped pacing, though.] I'm just thinking.

[He flinches and takes a step back.] O-okay! I believe you! [... Sigh. He pauses, then ventures a question.] Is it about that weird burning smell?

Hm? Oh. No, not exactly, but... [Well, hey, there's an idea... Maybe if Marta learned to cook — better than Raine at the very least...]

Oh... okay. [Emil plops down on the Milky Way and stifles a yawn.] We should rest here a bit before going back...

[ooc: Marta and Emil have been canonbumped to the beginning of Chapter 4. :D Feel free to bother the lovely couple.]

Yep! Everything's fixed: the castle didn't get overrun, and we didn't even change the past! Though, I think Donald wanted to...

You think you really traveled back in time, though?

Of course. We met Pete from the past, and the King... and the Cornerstone of Light was there because that's where the castle was going to be built. [ Of course, Emil probably has no idea who Pete is or what the heck the Cornerstone of Light has to do with anything, but Roxas is still kind of psyched about the time traveling. ]

[Emil just stares kind of blankly.]

... Sounds really complicated.

Yeah. ... I guess you had to be there to get it.

[He shrugs.] It sounds like you're closer to your goal, though.

Well, I'm not sure about that. We still don't know where the King is, or anything else about the Organization. At least we stopped Maleficent, though.

Oh... well, I'm sure you'll find out eventually!

Of course! [ Somewhat under his breath: ] Whenever Axel brings the gummi ship back, that is...

Who's Axel again...? What did he do?

Axel's my friend. The other black and white guy who was with me? He took our ship and ran off with it. Said he'd be back, but... not when, or even why he left.

Oh, him. ... He left? Just like that?

... Ugh, I hate that! That's what Lloyd did to his friends... and it's what Richter keeps doing to me!

[ Whoa. Roxas isn't quite used to Emil actually being assertive about stuff, so he blinks for a moment. ] ... Richter?

[It happens. His buttons are pretty well hidden, but they're there.]

Richter. He's... the first friend I made, but we're not even on the same side. He's part of the Vanguard. [Emil shakes his head quickly.] His goals seem to be different from those of the Vanguard, but I'm not sure what they are. And even though he told me he'd kill Marta to get to Ratatosk's core on her forehead, he still helps me sometimes, then runs off again.

It's so... confusing.

No... Richter works alone, as far as I can tell...

[Though there's that girl in his dreams... He's never seen her before. He doesn't even know if those memories are real.]

Doesn't he ever take a break?

Sorry. [He shakes his head.] I'll ask him next time I see him, I guess.

You think he'd actually answer?

I think so. He doesn't seem like the type to lie. He's just kinda... gruff.
