[02] *suddenly, different action notation!*

[See Danny. See Danny take photos. Take photos, Danny, take photos!

Danny decided he ought to come back to the plane and take photos of all the constellations and stars as he had promised himself earlier. Looking at photos in books was nothing compared to actually taking photos of them in person!]

So that was Aries...and over there's Norma. [Snap!] Wow, none of these are positioned where they should be in the sky... Although maybe if I just isolate 'em, they'll be as good as any other photo of the stars!

[He starts going through the photos he's taken so far.] I wonder how I'm going to explain these to my parents. Or Jazz. [Grin.] As if they'd even believe me!

It was more they seemed to think I'd always been that way....[Does someone sound slightly distracted? I think so!]

Mu?
lamb_of_gold: (wat?)

[Perfection'd victim successfully distracted!] Hm? Mu is my name.

[NOT distracted]

Is everything okay? You got a bit distant there for a bit.
lamb_of_gold: (oh hai)

You wouldn't be the first, I think.

I'm alright. I lost my train of thought.

It reminds me of the centimorgan, personally.

If you're sure...

[she's still frowning, but she'll let it go. It just seemed very out of place on Mu]
lamb_of_gold: (awww arent you cute)

I'm quite interested to hear of this "centimorgan" myself.

[Seems to have completely forgotten!]

It's in genetics. It's a unit of measurement in genetic linkage for recombination frequency - for how often a chromosomal crossover will happen between two loci or genes during meiosis. It's related to distance, so it's used to help create genetic maps.

I believe I understand the context at the very least.

[identity profile] taughtmedicine.livejournal.com 2009-08-26 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
What do you know about genetics? Chromosomes and recombination?
lamb_of_gold: (Hi~)

About as much as he.
