{The man that appears on the Plane is no ordinary man. The first thing that you would likely notice is just how big of a person he is--seven feet tall, at least, and muscular from head to toe. The second thing would be his clothing. It's unmistakably Greek ancient armor and clothing.

But enough about that.

Because this very large person has just been pulled from one battle into what he thinks is another. But, surprisingly, he crosses his arms with a hearty laugh}

Ha! I wouldn't expect you to be so quick, Caster! But this is more to my liking! You decided not to bring Saber or Archer, or even my Master, so we can have a true battle, face to face!

{And he waits...but no Caster. So instead he looks around }

The setting could use some work, though. So, with a realm like this, who are you really, Caster? Aurvandil, perhaps? I could respect a Norse warrior, but this battle is already won!

{...and still nothing. So Rider uncrosses his arms to scratch his head}

Hm, perhaps this is a more unique Noble Phantasm than I thought. I don't even feel any prana here. Well, then! Come out, any who may be here! Certainly there are those who lay wait in this odd darkness!

You should be fine around here. There are a lot of pretty strange things going around. Most people won't stop to question what you're wearing. Though it might confuse them a bit.

[oh great now she's surprised again]

Uhm, probably? [aren't Japanese people short? How DID they find clothing in Alexander's size?] When you said 'modern world,' what did you mean?

Do you mind, Mister 'the Great' [yes she is teasing which is rather disorienting, really] if I ask how you managed to end up in 1994?

[a wish-granting machine sounds dangerous!] You should be careful about anything that says it will grant your heart's desire.

...You were drinking with King Arthur and Giglamesh? Gilgamesh as in the Epic of? Who else is in this fight, Alexander?

[is picking up what's important to Alexander here pretty quickly]

...isn't Bluebeard... fictional? I mean, so is Gilgamesh, but I thought it's old enough that maybe it's only half fictional --- but the Grail isn't real too.

[huh]

There is the time-travelling aliens bit.

Well... I have this friend. He's called 'the Doctor.' Just the Doctor. And he has this blue box, calls it a TARDIS, but it's bigger on the inside. A lot bigger. 'Dimensionally transcendent.' And it can travel through time. Any place, and time in the universe, we can go there. And that includes other planets, because there is life on other planets. I've met some of it. The Doctor's from one of them. And the universe, it's - it's amazing. Inside a nebula, watching stars form...

Oh yeah, you still had the Earth-is-flat thing. Don't forget that the brain is the seat of the mind, not the heart.

[identity profile] taughtmedicine.livejournal.com 2009-07-06 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
I guess I can see your point. Though it's a bit more than the heart where you feel things, if we're not talking about the brain.

[Don't do it, Martha! It's a trap!]

You've read The Iliad? I didn't think you'd have the time for it, between conquering the known world and all.

[and there she goes]
