[It has been quite some time since Reinette brought herself to the Plane. If one looked closely enough, the especially pale almost translucent coloring to her skin might suggest as to why. But only, really, if one looked.

Her hair is down, and she is dutifully brushing it as she critically considers her reflection within the mirror of her vanity. An intricately carved box sits on one side, holding her most valued jewelry. And on the other side rests a music box, and a small collection of cosmetics]

[from the corner of her eye she catches sight of a child. Only a few years younger than her own daughter at most]

[ohgosh the lady spoke. Lucy nods slowly, uncertain what to do, then curtsies]

I was going ice skating with my father, but I ended up here, instead. I'm not sure where here is, but there's a lot of people around to talk with, so I like it.

Well, I'm only just learning, but it's been fun so far. It's nice to spend time with my father. He's so busy all the time.

[inches her way a little closer, though she tries to do so regally

No. I am not a princess.

Yep! I'm going to marry a prince someday. He'll be smart and clever and terribly important, and he'll make me his princess and I'll be just as important as he is.

Have you eaten something that did not disagree with you? Have a fight with your Doctor, perhaps?

What? No. Why would that make me go on about angels? Well, I suppose I can see the food thing, but not the argument with the Doctor. If I went off about killing things every time I argued with him - never mind. I'll give you that one, too.

[she glances at him sharply, though there is a flare of a smile at points granted. There, then gone]

[he slips around to catch her at a side angle]

For some inexplicable reason that I'd love to discover, people with wings and personality disorders appeared on the Plane and we were asked to hunt them down. Being what I am, I was more than happy to oblige, and one of these beings reminiscent of certain figures in Christian mythology happened to also be reminiscent of you.

[she continues to stare ahead, for no other reason than to not so obviously react to his own change of position]

That is certainly off-putting. [evenly] And what happened then?

[comes around examining the contents of the vanity and picks up the music box and begins to play around with it]

[she glances at his hands, caught up in active distraction]

Not particularly, no. But there are general appearances to be maintained.

[he put the music box down and finally took a look at her, noticing her complexion. He frowns in concern]

You - [stuffs his hands in his pocket, looking down for a moment,then back at her] How are you?

[and by looking at her reflection, she can deny any and all undertones to his inquiry]

Well enough. And you?

[sniffs and then moves his attention to the box, opening it up and inspecting the jewelry inside not looking at her any longer]

Me? Oh, well enough, I'm sure.

[she glances up at his profile briefly. He is the one that always wishes to leave things, after all. Surely he cannot mind now]

[she's the one who always wishes to know things, surely she can understand his annoyance. He holds up one expensive piece admiring it]

Could probably buy all of Wales and then some with this one I bet.
