I told you to stay in the temple, Shion!

[Despite Mu's harsh and angry tone, there is no answer. Shion is sitting against what looks to be a low wall made of white marble. In his lap are two semicircular halves of a golden shield. He's staring at them without really seeing them.

[Mu, in the meantime, is crouched nearby, tending wounds that look as though they were much uglier not long ago. The robes he's wearing are caked with old blood, and he himself looks to be a bit worse for wear.

[But even as he finishes and then settles down next to the blond, Shion's complete unresponsiveness continues, so much so that Mu's gaze turns from something bordering angry to worried, and finally, with a sigh, to sympathetic. He puts a hand on Shion's shoulder. At the touch, Shion's gaze shifts to the other man, but his eyes, as before, reflect nothing.]


It's...not something easy to swallow, I know...

[The voice of a stranger startles Shion. Pride cuts through even the pain and shock. He does not want to see anyone other than Mu to see him this lost. He pulls away to gaze at the shield again, his eyes regain a bit of light, although there is a great deal of pain there.]

[Rests hand on Shion's shoulder] Hey, it's okay. You'll figure out what to do next.

[He twitches a little. Causal contact is not something he's used to, although he doesn't have enough energy to pull away]....We have no leader. [Focusing on that helps him shut out the rest of who Hakurei was. Logically he knows that is a lie, that they still have Lady Athena and Sisyphus. But he doesn't feel like being logical right now.]

Mmm so you lost you leader. I'm sorrry... [Sits down next to Shion without making further contact. Perhaps less eye contact would be beneficial? Or so Wy reasoned.] What are you guys going to do now?

[He doesn't want to think about the future right now, but focusing on it does help...somewhat] Finish this war, and make Hades pay for what he has done. We have no other choice.

Do you have a plan? [noting the bad state they seem to be in] It doesn't look like you guys should just jump back in again.

[Shion shakes his head]...We cannot hide here forever.

No... but there's got to be something you guys can do to prepare before you go back.

...I can think of nothing that would help. [His hand runs over the shield] This place is only to catch our breath before we..I..report to Lady Athena.
