[nursing a black eye and sniffling, muttering under her breath before trying to pretend her eye isn't bothering her]

Sam? Anyone around? N-not that it's really important. Just... [trails off and shakes her head before wandering around searching]

[beeps quietly in thanks for the compliment, the Time Rotor humming and moving languidly as she turns her systems on so Fumie can get a better feel of what it's like in a living TARDIS. gently tries to guide her around, feeding her images of the Doctor manically trying to pilot her alone]

[pauses for a moment when the systems turn on. there's a definite difference in the air. someone as in tune with technology as Fumie is can easily feel it. it's levels above what she feels with the glasses, which is saying something since that basically is her world] Ahh, I see, it really is hard to pilot. [laughs and tries to imitate the Doctor's motions that play through her head, not actually hitting the controls, just trying to see if she could do it] That's your Doctor, then, ne? He looks different than the other ones! He's so curly.

[shakes a little in laughter, the humming louder and definitely cheery, but affirmative. it's just a steady stream of 'chatting,' now, as the TARDIS shows Fumie all of her Doctors, from the First through to Eight, whom she talks of fondly, if a little exasperatedly, since he's a div and all. but she tells the girl about the divergent universe, trying her best to keep the reasons they're there as hidden as she can, since she'd rather not frighten the child]

[and Fumie wanders farther into the TARDIS as she listens, nodding as she does, thinking Eight sounds kind of cute and somewhat like a big kid. she also happens to think the TARDIS is pretty cute, too, but that thought is distant as she wanders into the library and starts reading all the book covers] It sounds like you stay very busy. This is sort of a vacation for you, ne?

[hears Fumie's thought about the Doctor and makes an agreeable sound, laughing lightly, then sort of...shrugs and tilts her head, watching the girl in the library, a low rumble working through her systems, expressing her frustration and displeasure at being stuck in one place for so long]

[pulls a random book off the shelf and starts to read it, still listening to the TARDIS] Oh, I see. You're used to traveling. I've never even left my city.

[makes a sad noise, the lighting in the library dimming at the idea of never travelling and being trapped in one place for all her existence. so she shows Fumie images of what it's like to travel the stars, what all the galaxies and nebulas and burning suns look like, the vast planets and solar systems and black holes. all the unimaginable glory that the universe holds]

[drops the book from awe. those are things she's seen pictures of, even very realistic and gorgeous movies of on her glasses. and it still can't compare] You're very lucky, ma'am.

[hums in agreement, because yes. yes she is. she's seen more than you can imagine, Fumie, but she'd be happy to show you whenever you wish. you're also welcome to her library, if the warm feeling permeating the air is any indication]

[smiles and lays down on the floor, feeling oddly content and happy. it's probably the TARDIS's influence, really. and she's quite tired, really. having to be Gene is tough work]

[awww, the TARDIS thinks this little girl is cute. she hums quietly, soothingly, and lowers the lighting even more, warming the air so it's a nice sleeping temperature and watches the girl to make sure she's okay, still feeding her images of the galaxies and all the serene and tranquil places within them]

[yawns and stretches out, curling up with the book she dropped earlier as a pillow. she's really worn out and thusly falls asleep without even intending to take a nap. but she'll have very nice dreams]
