[looks, then shakes her head] That's Amethyst Dream, desu. She's my spirit.

{Akari bows politely} My name is Akari Mizunashi.

Your spirit? But you don't mean like a ghost, do you?

Oh, no! I mean, you called it a spirit, so I wasn't sure what you meant!

There are Seven Dolls, desu. Suigintou, Kanaria, Suiseiseki and Souseiseki, Shinku, Hina-Ichigo and Kirakishou, desu. [shifts a bit] There were, at least...

Ah, it's Mars, actually! I keep forgetting that people don't know that here.

Well, I'm pretty far in the future for a lot of people here, I think. It only took me three days to get there on the transport vehicle.

{Akari just smiles, but she doesn't press the issue}

But Mars doesn't have plants, right? I don't think I'd want to go there, desu.

Oh, it does now! Since we terraformed it, it's a really beautiful place. Most of the planet is covered with water, but there are lots and lots of beautiful plants. Do you want to see? I got a really pretty guide book so that I could learn about the scenery.

Ah, could you? I'd really like to, desu.

Certainly! I'm even at home, so it'll just be a second.

{Akari drops off the Plane, only to return quickly with a book in hand. Akari laughs a little bit at that.}

This is a really popular tourist attraction in Neo-Venezia. We Undines call it the Land of Hope, since it's where we get promoted to a Single from a Pair if we can make it up the canal. It overlooks all of Neo-Venezia, and it's really beautiful!

Ah~ It's so pretty, desu! [stares at the pictures, particularly all the greenery. oh, so many lovely plants she could take care of

Well, I'm training to become a Undine. Or a gondolier if you know that better. When we first start out, we have to wear two gloves, but when we get promoted, we only have to wear one. Then when trainees becomes full-fledged Undines, they don't have to wear gloves at all. The reason that it's gloves is that by the time you're read to move on to the next level, you'll have made callouses so it won't hurt your hands to row the boat.

[stares, intrigued by this] So you're a captain, desu? I've never been on a boat, before. Is it fun?
