[A beach chaise appears on the Plane (on the beach, oddly enough), and with it a demon. He's not even wearing his typical suit this time—just a white shirt, the sleeves rolled up, and black slacks. And the sunglasses, of course.]
[Sadly, the tall glass in his hand (the kind you normally find filled with bright and fruity sorts of alcohol) appears to be empty save for a little paper umbrella. He tips his sunglasses up with his free hand and stares forlornly at the glass for a moment.]
Bugger. We'll see if I tip her again.

I'd be enjoying myself a great deal more if the servers would actually do their blessed jobs.

I'd thought about inviting you along, but you seemed a bit preoccupied with your work.

[He follows her gaze and chuckles.]
It's just a decoration. Here. [With his free hand he plucks the little paper umbrella out of the glass and holds it out to her.]

[She holds it high in the air and starts running in circles around him.]

[a pause]
—well I'm on holiday now, at any rate.

[He holds his empty glass up and shakes it a bit for emphasis]
This has been empty for going on ten minutes now.

Certainly, though, you could ask for a refill?

Haven't seen you for a while. How are things in your deathtrap of a world lately?

Fine enough, I suppose. Thought I'd get out of London for a while, relax in the tropics.

[Smirk] Ah, sun, sea and sand right?
