14; There is no "I" in threesome. (Canon updating...)

In the bar area...

[have a Handy running his hands through his hair, then looking at what appears to be grains of sand in disgust. he makes a face, then puts the sandy hands out towards Jack and no, he's not Annie trying to convince Sam he's real]
Dead people, that is dead people! In my hair. Dead people!

[Jack, on the other hand, is thankfully sand-free. He seems, if anything, slightly curious]
Dead plants, dead animals, buildings.....

[and the Doctor, unimpressed] You and Christina. Complaining about your hair!
[the Doctor gets a glare, and Handy will just wipe his hands off on Jack's sleeve, since he seems so fascinated by the DEAD PEOPLE sand]
Why are neither of you disturbed by the fact that that sand there is dead people. You should be disturbed. It's disturbing.

[Jack makes a face and wipes at his sleeve]
If you think it's disturbing, why are you wiping dead people on my sleeve? It's rude.

You spend time on a dead, alien world, and all you're worried about is how much you've got on your hair. [sighs, and takes a sip of his drink]
Well you seemed fascinated by it, I figured you'd rather wear it than me.
[to the Doctor]
Maybe I'm disturbed and worried because an entire civilization was reduced to sand? And the fact that I seem to have it all over me might just add to that a bit.

You know, you probably have sand stuck to your shoes. Along with uncovered patches of skin.
[Helpful Jack is helpful]

I've reconfigured the wormholes to make sure that doesn't happen again. Only sand worlds are ones that should be uninhabited.
[sorry Doctor, he isn't even paying attention to you right now. Handy's face falls and he gets a very horrified look on his face, because he totally didn't consider the possibilities of what Jack just said. He will now be hopping out of his seat, and checking out his shoes and trousers and pretty much any part of him he can inspect]
[Jack rolls his eyes, sipping on a glass of water as he watches]
It's just sand.

[sigh] Think it was wrong of me to leave her with the bus?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[still totally absorbed in this sand business]

It's all over me.

[spots a few stray grains of sand on his sleeve and wipes it off furiously]

I'm burning these clothes.

[identity profile] itsthecoat.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
[And he is going to be ignoring Handy and his sand business for a moment] Newscaster will get a few hundred calls in London about a flying double-decker bus, she'll probably go off to her next heist, and the city will find a new bus.

The most you have to worry about is what she'll do with that sort of technology.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
[another disgusted brushing and then he gives up and moves behind the bar to make himself a drink]

Life of crime is probably out the window for the moment if she keeps flying around in that thing. I'd imagine it might be a bit difficult to keep stealthy and unnoticed when you're traveling around in a great big flying double-decker.

[she's just going to stare at all three of you] Is there something strange about a world of sand?

[identity profile] brigadiertardis.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
That is the way of most of your adventures, Doctor.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
[brushes some more off himself and then tries to get some composure]

Well, it's not your standard sand. Just last year it was people, buildings, vegetation. Now....

[sees some more sand and brushes it away]

Now you have sand.

[identity profile] brigadiertardis.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
All things must die. Were they made of stone? Was it a mass erosion?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
They shouldn't die like that, though.

And no, it was these creatures, they created wormholes that devastated the entire planet. One hundred billion people, all sand now.

[half shrug] I was back on Earth with UNIT while these two were running around in the sand.

[identity profile] brigadiertardis.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Did you not want to be with them?

[identity profile] itsthecoat.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I was catching up on some business when they went through the worm hole.

[Not like Dorothy was eavesdropping here, but... yeah, she totally was. And she kind of agrees with poor Handward. After a bit of a think, she disappears from the Plane and reappears with one of those sticky-paper lintroller things. Aunt Em has them around because of the dogs, but presumably it'd work on sand too! She offers it to Handy, because she's a good person.]

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
[notices the lintroller and sighs, relieved.]

Thank you!

[and he will now be using said lintroller.]

Golfball prodigy on monogamous sensitivity training--

[and then she isn't so happy anymore. Actually, miserable. Ah, well. She turns around and slowly starts to shuffle off, muttering nonsensical things sadly]

[identity profile] ofalzarius.livejournal.com 2009-04-18 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Adric is pointedly not saying anything, because nothing is coming out right and it's kind of humiliating. Instead he'll be taking Handy's shoe and inspecting the dead people sand inside.]

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[he will now be attempting to get his shoes back]

World reduced to sand in a year's time. That's an important bit, too.

[Ianto is nursing a mug of coffee and a hang over. He's keeping some distance between the three of them and himself, because he doesn't like sand in his coffee at the best of times... this sand he definitely doesn't want to be drinking.] There're dead people in the sand?

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Ianto is smart]

Well, more like the dead people are the sand.

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Smart and face pulling. Because that's disgusting.]

How
?

[identity profile] itsthecoat.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Among other things. A whole planet isn't made up of just people.

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2009-04-19 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'd hope not. It'd have to be a lot of people to cover an entire planet.

[A pause, because he's forgotten their last conversation.] You were on another planet?
