[Ikki appears on the Plane without grand ceremony, without a straw stuck up his nose or any of the eccentricity and charm that accompanies his usual manner. His white shirt has smears of brown blood on it, probably from the bloody Rumble Regalia he's been clutching to himself for an hour.

He stands there motionless for a moment, then with something like a choked squeak, simply sinks where he is. Feet out, Regalia sitting in front of him, head bowed in memory to one of the first to draw out his potential.]

... damn it...

[Soul was just sort of wandering by when he spots Ikki. He recognizes him as one of the first people he talked to on the Plane, but that was a few days ago and Soul hasn't seen him since. And now, well, he's crying. Soul comes to a stop and stands there kind of awkwardly for a moment. Then he slips his hands in his pockets and walks up, slowly.]

[That may be a poorly-disguised sniffle, but nothing else. Ikki doesn't bother looking up but he IS attempting to eject some of his usual humor into his greeting.]

[It's not really Soul's place to ask what happened, since he doesn't know Ikki all that well. It's also not really his place to say everything will be okay, since he doesn't exactly know that either. So he just stands there for a moment with his hands in his pockets.]

You want something? Like...I don't know, coffee?

[He smirks.] I can do that too. Hold on a sec, alright?

[He pops off, and comes back a minute or so later with a bottle of soda. Which is probably a really odd brand like "Shinigami Soda" or something, but oh well. He hands it to Ikki.]

[That's an amazing brand, really. Ikki finally looks up, then reaches out to take the soda.]

... Thanks, man. [Totally wasn't crying, nope. He twists the cap off and takes a long sip without even bothering to sniff it.]

[Sure, Ikki, whatever you say :) Soul won't say anything, anyway. He stands there for a moment, trying to think of something cool to say. Damn, Maka's usually the one giving pep talks.]

Hey. You said before that you were God, or the Storm King or something, right?

No, that's not what I'm saying. [He looks off across the Plane.] I have this friend back home, Black*Star. He talks all the time about surpassing God and becoming the greatest man ever. If anyone can do it, it's him, because he's an idiot who only knows how to rush forward.

You kinda remind me of him. Though you're less extreme.
