[It's been a while since the Griever put in an appearance on the Plane. Currently, he's flying about eight-to-ten feet above the 'ground', and surveying the area. He's not quite sure what he's looking for, but... after the surprise of an alternate version of himself and his brother, it never hurts to check for something new. Strapped to his belt is a metal thermos with green paneling interspersed on it.

Rule of kids' TV says those who know Chris won't recognize him as the Griever, despite the only differences being in his eyes turning to a glowing red, his hair turning blond, and his voice gaining and echo quality—unless you already know the secret. Let's just go with it, shall we?]

[Well, that's... new. The Griever slows to a stop and floats halfway upside down to get a good look at Pino.]

Uh. No? I'm not an angel. [Not anymore.]

Then are you like Vince? He can't fly, but he sort of can. You're not gray, though. Can Pino fly?

Vince? Pino? ... What?

[She hops up and down in front of him.] Pino is Pino!

... You're Pino? Shouldn't you know if you can fly or not?

Pino doesn't know. I've never tried.

Then the answer is probably 'no'.

Oh... [She thinks about this for a moment.] Can Pino learn? Pino is good at learning!

It's not something you learn. It's just... something you do.

If you're not an angel, are you a bird? Spiky Head was going to show me a bird. Pino has never seen one.

Noooo... I'm a ghost. You've really never seen a bird?

Mm-mm. I've seen them in books! But there are no more birds.

You're a ghost? A ghost? Ghosts are sad. Are you sad?

[Huh... no more birds?]

What? No. Not all ghosts are sad.

They're not? But they cry a lot, don't they?

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen a ghost actually cry.

They do though! They cry a lot. They sound so sad... I hear them sometimes.

Maybe the ghosts where you come from are different from the ones where I come from.
