[look who's on the Plane!

River, all tucked up into a large, overstuffed armchair, turned to one side so that her legs can hang over one of the arms. She's clean for once, no dust or dirt or much of the universe -- her hair is freshly washed and pulled up with a pair of hairsticks. There's a small table to her right with a hot mug of tea.

She's occupied with scribbling in a familiar blue journal]

You're not trapped here, you know. Merge with another's reality, you could travel again.

Not surprising, considering the man making them!

[and she has herself a bit of a grumble while he is gone, seemingly combining the words 'impossible' and 'man']

[and, he's back with two teas. He's not sure how she takes hers, so he brought some milk and sugar, dangling off of a finger as he hands over the cup]

Merging is something you can do that's part of the Plane. Your reality shifts, or merges, into anothers'. Your reality becomes their reality. And theirs a bit of yours.

Whoever you'd like, really. Whole lot of people out there who'd want to show you their universes.

Well, nothing too major. Just getting to know people, having them visit. It's an interesting experience.

[takes sip of tea]

[she settles herself back in her chair, watching him from the corner of her gaze]

Well that hardly sounds interesting. We're visiting now.

Visiting here, but not visiting places. Can't travel beyond here without a merger. Gets too confusing. Lucy actually----

[stops himself]

Merging might be your best bet for leaving the Library without killing yourself. Real worlds.

You know, I've got two rather lovely companions, and they've both been merged with me. You could always talk to them.

Well, one of them in particular. Looks just like me. And you think I'm pretty, so don't you dare try to deny it.

No wonder you're looking a bit worn around the edges.
