[Ben appears on the Plane with the kind of stumbling step that comes from finding the stairs aren't as many as you expected. He's wearing a grey suit, unbuttoned, and he's even gone to the trouble of wearing a tie. After a few silent moments of looking around, obviously hoping he's imagining his new surroundings, he sets down his briefcase and crosses his arms.]

I'd hate to be predictable, but where am I? I don't think this has anything to do with Evan, even if it would be just like him to forget to tell me he'd offended somebody dangerous. I know Cormac hasn't been doing anything interesting lately, so at least it shouldn't be his fault. [another few moments of silence, he's decided he may as well talk to himself since this is probably not real in the first place]

Maybe if I stand here long enough, I'll find out I'm dreaming. Or maybe I tripped on the stairs and this is some kind of strange coma hallucination. Damn it, Cormac would never let me live it down. I've never had my brain presenting me with such a vivid starry... I-don't-know-what before, though. Especially not one with a beach. Actually, I'm not sure I've ever dreamt of the beach at all. [he takes a second to consider that before he continues] This doesn't have anything to do with that strange building I found the other day, does it? I don't remember there being any stars.
