four

[Buffy doesn't so much ~appear~ on the Plane as she does 'come hurtling into it backwards, roll over, promptly vanish into thin air and then reappear a second later brushing dust off herself, and coughing'. ...With a wooden stake in one hand.]

God. [cough cough] That actually never stops being gross.

[:o Goodness. It's a good thing Dorothy is here! To... do... absolutely nothing, but it's the thought that counts.]

Wow. You okay? That looked... uncomfortable.

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's... dusty. Ianto pulls a slight face.] Have a run-in with an old curtain?

[identity profile] galeforcehero.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I can see how that'd be a problem, if the people you fight tend to... y'know, combust, in that way.

[Dorothy sticks her hand in her back pocket and produces a pack of cinnamon gum, which she proffers to Buffy. Hooray!!]

Gum?

An angry curtain with fangs... definitely something I could live without seeing.

I'm guessing it wasn't really a curtain?

[blinks and stares]

Everything all right?

[identity profile] oldoldghost.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Brigitta will be watching with interest] What were you fighting?

[identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
But you'd imagine it's worse.

Ah. Vampire. Something else I could live without seeing. [He should probably be more surprised, but... well, it is the Astral Plane.]

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Dead people inhalation? Well that, that can hardly be sanitary I'm sure.

There needs to be some sort of box for complaints, having to work under those conditions. Or you could just go on strike.

[identity profile] galeforcehero.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Dorothy beams AND SORT OF BLUSHES A LITTLE BIT at being called amazing, because shy.]

Aw, well, I wouldn't go THAT far.

[taking her gum back, she jams it back into her pocket]

Gum is probably the least appreciated and yet most important substance known to man. Well, to me, anyway. Anything that tastes good that you can blow bubbles in is pretty much the greatest thing in the world.

[Faint smile] Nothing went wrong?

[identity profile] aces-are-rare.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ace is impressed with the gymnastics and curious about the stake. The dust coming off Buffy she is not so sure about.]

I hope that's just dust, not summit like Junduson mold spores. I'm so not in the mood to deal with a rash.

[Tactfully letting the subject slide. :|]

Judging by the one vampire I have met, I'd have to agree with you on the lack of fun.

[identity profile] handysparehand.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but Batman had money all ready. He was just rich and bored. It's a terrible combination. You either end up on a reality program, in the tabloids, or dressing up in a skin tight costume hunting down villains.

[identity profile] galeforcehero.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely. And it can be used in a pinch to stick things to other things, which actually happens to me a lot more often than it probably should. The need to stick things to other things in a pinch, I mean. Wonder if that's saying something.

[....HELLO CHANGE OF SUBJECT HOW ARE YOU TODAY]

Well! I mean, she was a Cher fan, I can say you're pretty much justified. ...And, y'know, the soul-sucking demon thing, that's... pretty bad too.
