Without science, there can be no progression of knowledge. Only a simpleton would believe otherwise- one like yourself, I assume.

{Her expression darkens as she glances to Vexen} You being alive doesn't matter. I'll rip you apart, smash your bones, and eat your flesh. Science is just a veil to cover up the nasty parts of humanity that they want to ignore. For the sake of science...It's no excuse to forget that people can feel.

Science uncovers these 'nasty' parts of humanity and helps us to investigate them, even benefit from them if the concepts are applied properly. Of course, I would hardly expect someone as dense as yourself to understand...

That isn't true! The things that people do to find that truth, it's not right or fair! Joel wasn't right to keep me as some sick experiment, and whatever knowledge he might have gotten, it wasn't worth having to put me through hell for it!!

((ooc: pssst, Diva's urge to get violent is rising. I saw on the permissions meme that I needed to ask first, so I just want to make sure that it would be okay for her to hit him. And by hit, we're talking more like a bitchslap because this is a sensitive subject.

{I wouldn't bet your life, or lack thereof, on that. Because right after the world "capable", one of her hands latched onto Vexen's throat as her fingers started to dig into his flesh, actually threatening to grab onto his vocal cords and pull them right out.}

[And suddenly, he's as cold as liquid nitrogen to the touch; Frantically reaching up and grabbing hold of her hands, making use of his control over ice to materialize a thin, but quickly thickening, layer of it over them.]

{She uses her other hand to punch him hard instead, jerking back. In an instant, she's several yards away, holding her frozen arm tenderly, but her cold expression doesn't show any discomfort she's feeling, if any}

Do you want to die? {Clenches her fist, making her skin crack and tear from being frozen. But frozen or not, the skin almost looks as if its bubbling as the damage repairs itself.}
