[Akito shows up wearing incredibly baggy blue jeans, a big white sweater and no shoes. He feels absolutely ridiculous and has to keep pulling the legs of his pants up so he doesn't fall over them as he walks]

I think I finally figured out whose world I'm in, but this person needs to work on their wardrobe, this is all I found! And the people there are all so boring, they keep talking about this notebook they found.

[And he happens to have it with him~ He opens it up and starts to read.] The human whose name is written in this note shall... die?

[He reaches up and switches his eye patch over to his other eye, revealing Agito who starts to laugh in that always entertaining evil way as he reads on.]

Judging from the other places around here, it's a risk I wouldn't take.

Oh, but considering that this place took away the ultimate risk, death, it really doesn't matter what sort of risks you take any more, does it.

Permenant or not, death isn't something to be treated lightly. Or would you be happy falling off another building? It leaves scars, Agito. It damaged you and Akito, and you know it.

I'd be happy using this notebook on the people who threw me off that building.

Well, I can't say the Master wouldn't be happy - he tried to get me to shoot him a bit ago - but it's still murder. Killing him won't protect Akito.

But it'll give me a good laugh?

Why did he try to get you to shoot him though?

And it'll put you in his bad books, and he'll get revenge on you. And don't say you can fight him. In a fair fight? Maybe. But he's got more than that backing him. He could shoot you - he could make someone else shoot you - and you can't fight that.

His suicidal streak is apparently a very lazy one.

Yes, he is sort of lame like that.

But this notebook says you can specify the cause and circumstances surrounding the death, he never needs to know it was me.

Except that you just advertised that you have a notebook for killing people to the whole plane. You're putting Akito at risk here. How can you protect him when you go about making dangerous enemies for the both of you?

Stop using Akito to keep me from doing things you don't want to see happen.

It's one thing, Agito. You want to go beat someone bloody? Fine. Have fun. Bring me pictures. Set people up so they think they've shagged? Great. Don't want the pictures for that one. But murder's too far.

You don't want revenge yourself for everything that has happened? An eye for an eye and all.

Of course I do. I want to make the Master hurt for what he did to my DCI. I want to bruise every murderer that comes into our interrogation room so they can taste a bit of what they've done to others. But I don't.

That's where we're different, I act and you sit behind your desk.

[shakes his head] I bag enough crooks that I know I do good for my city. You're just as bad as the Master if you kill someone now. Revenge makes for premeditative, and I can't let you do that.

[toooooooooootally unaware of his own pretentiousness! Which, really, is a pretty big thing to not notice] Own it? I can't even defend the people I care about here and you think I think I own it? Or is trying to save people a type of arrogance now?

Look at it from my point of view, what if I hand it over to you and you use it to kill me? I can't risk that, it'd be safer in my own hands.

Besides, I think it doesn't work.

I'm not a murderer. The day I murder someone's the day I throw away my badge, and I like my job too much to do that.
