060: Mood to Burn Bridges

[Hei appears on the Plane sitting on a low wall surrounded in a blue glow. The glow cuts off almost instantly after he appears, and he promptly slumps forward on the wall, gripping the concrete edge to keep from falling off. He's pale and shaking a little, and black blood is flowing rather steadily from his nose. It's clear that he's exhausted, but he looks more surprised than anything.]

[He sits there panting and dripping blood onto the floor before he raises a hand to wipe it away.]

...That wasn't supposed to happen.

[Roxas wishes now, more than ever, he remembered how to cast Curaga. Heck, even Cure. Can has Potion, though?]

H-Hei! What happened?

Oh, ah...it's alright, I'm okay. Just a--stupid mistake on my part. [He pinches his nose and cups his hand underneath so that he's not bleeding all over the floor.]

You sure...? [B-but! Potion!] What'd you do?

[Hei just sort of stares at it cause he doesn't know what it is.] It's nothing. I was just careless.

[Holds it out? Everyone knows what Potions are!] Careless...?

[It's a glowy sparkle thing! Oh well. Hei takes it and magic happens. Yay no longer bleeding!] Thank you.

I was trying to do one thing but ended up doing another.

No problem.

You mean you... cast the wrong spell? [Since it looked like he had a magic aura earlier.]

[A pause, then,] Yes, something like that.

And that's how you hurt yourself?

That's right. The spell I used was too powerful.

Oh... You should probably be more careful next time.

I know. I will be.

Good!

How about you? Adjusting alright?

Yeah. It's not so bad here...

Good. I'm glad.

Although... [hesitation, then he shakes his head] Never mind.

Hm?

It's nothing, really. Just weird timing, I guess.

What is? ...If you don't mind me asking, of course.

Well... Donald and Goofy, friends of mine, say Axel ran off or something, when he's standing right next to them.

...Oh. That. That's...that's normal. Every person here is from a different world, even if it's only slightly. Your friends probably won't be able to see him for awhile. And yet if you ask Axel, he'll probably tell you that "his" friends can't see you either.

Wh-what!?

It just means you'll have to work hard on a merger. Mergers are dependent on closeness. Just...spend time with him, get to really know him. That sort of thing.

O-oh... that won't be hard at all, then!
