[it's been some time since the TARDIS was last on the Plane, but here she is, with what looks like a segment from a very large wardrobe. not her own, of course, but some of Romana's old things from her room. there are several hat boxes and chests scattered around her and the TARDIS is currently standing in front of a full-length mirror, trying on a wide assortment of various hats. it's not like Romana needs them anymore, her being gone and all. you know.

besides, the TARDIS has been going through her rooms looking for things she might clear away or pack up in the attic. so whatever she doesn't like is being tossed in a pile to be sorted and filed. it isn't like the Doctor has bothered in some two hundred years to do so. there's also the added bonus of her attempting to appear 'nice' for him, and she knows he fancied Romana, soooo]

Do you? [oh goody yay!] Then if I wear this hat, will you be pleased? It appeals to you?

I'd be pleased anyway, you don't need to wear the hat. But I do like it, yeah. Very much.

Of course. I will always please you. [ducks her head, removing the hat and looking for another] I enjoy doing that which brings you pleasure, however. My observations of your companions has shown me you are pleased by certain appearances, however. I am simply interested in that reaction.

Well, the effort is appreciated, but like I said before, I'd be pleased no matter what.

[picks up a hat or two, inspecting them]

Which one do you like the best?

Mmm, I will keep that in mind.

[aw man, you're asking her for the truth?]

I prefer the ones that do not make my head feel hot. The majority of these are far too inefficient and illogical for me to understand.

[considers this]

Well, there are other accessories besides hats. Maybe something a little different. Shoes or scarves or something?

[shakes her head] Not shoes. I tried those. If it is simply a projection, such as when I wear the Brigadier's face, then it is no issue, but I dislike how constricting they are. [purses her lips] What else might females wear that I might attempt?

[thinks]

A pair of specs or sunglasses, maybe?

What use are spectacles if my eyesight is perfect?

I don't know. [shrugs] I just sort of like the way they look.

You do? [considers him, then reaches over and fishes through his pockets until she finds his specs. pulls them out, examines them, then puts them on, tilting her head] Are these acceptable?

[grins]

I think they might look better on you.

[grins widely and leaves them on, giving Handy a hug] You flatter me, Doctor.

[TARDIS hugs! Score!] Well, it's the truth.

[TARDIS hugs make the world go 'round] I am better than you in most regards, I will admit.

[Totally!] And so modest, too!

Is there reason for me to be?

None that I'm aware of.

Then I shall remain as I am. That is acceptable?

More than acceptable!
