[A man appears on the plane, which wouldn't be odd except for the fact he's upside down, floating a few feet up in the air, drifting slightly. It's hard to see what he looks like aside from a few strands of white hair peeking out, thanks to the giant-ass black cloak he's sporting, but it becomes evident that he's at least human (in appearance, anyways) when a pale arm swings out from under the cloak, held up to the hood. And orange orb appears in the air above the back of his palm, flickers wildly for a few moments, then fades. The arm is retracted.]

Another dimension..?

Hn.

[He temporarily warps from view, only to reappear a second later standing, right-side-up and on the ground this time, and appears to be trying to get his bearings. The arm is out and the orange orb flashing in and out of view again.]

[She clutches at his cloak again.]

Ne, Karasu, you don't think this is because of something I did...?

[D'awh Haruka. He'd be showing affection right now if he was the type. Srsly.]

No. Before my arrival I experienced none of the fluctuations associated with the Dragon Torque affecting the time-spaces. I had thought perhaps it was merely manifesting its power in a new way.

This seems to be something else.

[She's reassured. If Karasu says so, it must be true.] I didn't either. I mean, it didn't seem like the Dragon Torque.

Do you think...Noein?

Hn. If it were Noein he would have shown up to gloat about it by now.

[There's sort of an awkward silence from him for a bit ~~as usual~~, then-]

Are you unharmed?

I guess. There are too many other people around for it to be him anyway, probably.

[She doesn't mind the silence; it's reassuring enough just to have him here.] Oh, yeah! I'm fine. You're all right, Karasu? [Glances up at him worriedly]

He sought a world without people. He would not like this plane of existence.

[Well he sort of didn't expect to exist after that whole fading away bit at the end of the series but like hell is he telling Haruka that, so...]

I am fine.

That's true. That other place was too lonely.

[She looks up at him. Is he keeping something from her? It's hard to tell with him.]

He was disturbed.

[But enough on that. Karasu's carefully avoiding eye contact at the moment, so let's have an abrupt subject change!]

Have you attempted to return home?

[Hmmmmmm...suspicious.]

[Quietly:] He killed Isami. I won't forgive him for that.

[She shakes her head.]

I was looking for you.

...Isami knew the risks of becoming a Dragon Knight. Death was always a possibility.

[Derp derp so depressing ):]

You should try. Your family- your friends, they will be waiting for you.

But he shouldn't have had to die like that! [Preteen girls don't tend to get this whole prepared-for-death thing.]

What about you? You're coming back too, right?

[There's a very long pause.]

No, he shouldn't have. Noein and I were fools.

I will try.

[She shakes her head.]

It's not your fault, Karasu. You didn't want to fight him. And you stopped.

I don't want to go back unless you're with me.

Your Isami and Yuu will avoid our mistakes.

...If I can, I will come.

Cause the future will be different, right?

Then we should go. [She tugs on Karasu's arm.] We can try going back together, can't we?

You have already given it a push in the correct direction. Your friends are strong. Together you will create a better future.

[He hesitates at the tug, then wraps his cloak around Haruka]

We can.

Really? I hope we're strong enough.

[She clings to him as he wraps the cloak around her, completely trusting.]
