003: Searching the Void/death

[usagipino]

[Pino is wandering the Plane, looking a little confused. She's wearing over-sized, green overalls, boots, and nothing else, making the metal plating on her arms, chest and shoulders much easier to spot. She comes to a stop and cups her hands around her mouth.]

Timothy! Timothy! Are you here? Are we playing hide and seek?

[She listens for a response, and when she doesn't hear one, she keeps wandering. She does this a few more times before coming to a stop near the Colosseum. She laces her hands together behind her back, an unreadable expression on her face.]

Has anyone seen Timothy? Is Timothy here somewhere?

Well, that's kind of true, but it's like they're sleeping too. They left to go sleep somewhere for a really long time, and you can't wake them up. That's what death is, kind of.

[usagipino]

But people wake up, don't they? Vince woke up.

[madamemoiselle]

Not like this, I'm afraid. But! When people die, they go somewhere really nice, I've heard. It's like your best dreams, and you get to live there forever. So Timothy is in that place too, I'm sure.

[usagipino]

Dreams?

[madamemoiselle]

It's like a story that your mind makes when you go to sleep, you know?

[usagipino]

[She shakes her head.]

[madamemoiselle]

You don't...? Well, you're not human, I know that, but what are you, then?

[usagipino]

Hmm... [She laces her hands behind her back and spins in place.] Hoody and Vince say "Autorave." Is that what Pino is?

[madamemoiselle]

Hm...Maybe! I don't know what that is, so I guess it's easier to say that Pino is Pino.

[usagipino]

[She beams.] Pino is Pino!
