[Astrid arrives on the plane and expects to, well she expects to find her feet on the floor. Instead she's up in the air, easily ten foot up in the air, and oh my Vot! She's tiny, I mean she's usually tiny, but not THIS tiny, she's approximately six inches tall tiny, and how the hell is she up in the air?!!

She spins around, trying to see behind herself, confused is not a good enough word, it really isn't. And she's leaving a wake of emerald green sparkles behind her as she pirhouettes? mid-air!]

I have wings! Oh my vot! I have wings! How se hell have I got wings?

[except her voice is so quiet, you can barely hear it, if you did hear it, she sounds suspiciously French accented.]

[Well! Emerald fairy. Nothing Dorothy hasn't seen before. But one who seems quite confused to be one-- that's new.]

Goodness. You seem a bit confused. Are you alright?

[she hasn't *quite* got the hang of flight control yet, and instead of gently gliding down to Dorothy, it's a bit more of a nose-dive really. Oops! She manages to bring it back though, just before she crashes into her.]

I am confused. I didn't look like this before I came to the Plane!

[Curious Dorothy is curious! She holds her hands up, just in case Astrid wants to land.]

[landing would be good! These wings take practice apparently, and her hovering is more wavering up and down trying to keep to the same vague area of air. She 'oomphs' into Dorothy's hands, landing on her scantily clad butt inelegantly!]

Thank you! It's hard trying to fly. Well, I looked more like you, no wings and a lot taller. I have no idea how this happened.

Oh, so generally human-shaped, then. Well, that's strange. Seems to be a lot of people turning up in bodies they shouldn't have, lately.

Really? I haven't been here for a few days. Mais oui! [she blinks at having said 'mais oui'] Human-shaped normally and not French either.

[trying to pull down the non-existent skirt, so that it might actually cover something] Oh, I haven't tried [jumps off Dorothy palm, sort of closing her eyes and hoping for the best, before returning moments later, right back into her hand.]

No I'm back to normal out there. This is very odd.

[Susan has seen all sorts of aliens over the years, but fairies are new. She'd always assumed that they were restricted to fairy tales (or planets she'd never been allowed to visit). It takes her a moment to stop staring, and she only manages that when she hears the word 'vot' and puts two and two together.]

Astrid? Are you..? What happened?

Susan! [she gasps, grateful to see a familiar face, even if she has only met her the once, and she somehow manages to navigate and change her course to fly towards her. She wonders if there's any way to stop the trail of glitter she leaves behind her every time she moves.]

I'm not completely sure, but it's happening to a few people apparently.

[Eyes wide, Susan watches Astrid fly towards her and tries to think of something remotely productive to say.]

Other people are being turned into fairies? Does it ... hurt?

Oh, no not fairies. Just the wrong bodies I think. Doesn't make it any less worrying though.

Doesn't hurt at al.... [well it does when you bump into someone, like she just did into Susan's arm, as she tried to come to a halt.] Okay, maybe it hurts a little. [a laugh as she dusts herself off amid a shower of sparkles]

[This is the first 'experiment' Susan has seen, and, since she's definitely the Doctor's granddaughter, she's as fascinated as she is worried.]

[Drusilla talks to pixies all the time. She's never seen one up close before, though. Her eyes are wide as she moves towards Astrid, lifting up her hand to catch the sparkles.]

[This having to get close to be heard is frustrating, and requires flight skills she just hasn't got yet. Maybe slow is the way to go this time, try gliding Astrid. And ooh that seemed to work!]

No, a complete novice. The Plane seems to want me to take my fairy's drivers licence I think! [is still fairly confused as she hovers at face level]

Thankfully I can talk then, it'd be even worse if I couldn't, the wings are enough to get used to.

I've been told it's probably temporary, I'm hoping so. I'm Astrid, and usually a lot taller.
