001: Turing Test/threshold

[Onto the Plane steps a young girl. She looks to be about seven years old and is dressed in black, flowy clothes. She looks the part of a high society girl.]

[When she notices where she is, her blank expression becomes one of mild confusion. She looks around as though searching for someone.]

This is not right. I am not where I am supposed to be. This place does not appear to be in the Romdeau servers.

Will someone direct me to the exit, please? Mama will not be pleased with my disappearance.

Nah, she won't. Time don't pass back home while you're here. Don't get it meself. The imagining bit's trickier, I guess...

Oh, yeah. I'm Chris. I'm a police officer, so if you need something, you can come looking for me.

But Mama always notices. [She seems stuck on this. Her eyes lid a little.]

I'm sorry, but...what is a police?

[That one surprises him.] You know, cops. We catch the bad guys and protect the good ones.

[And she immediately brightens.] Oh! Then you work for the Security Bureau? Do you know my Papa? He's the Director-General.

I don't think so. He probably works in a different...group. I'm from Manchester. 'S in Britain.

Oh, I see. You're an immigrant? Ah, well if you work hard you should be able to join the Security Bureau one day.

Me? Nah, I'm...thing about this place is that it...sorta connects lots of other places. Even if the distance would be a lot, you know? So I'm British.

I haven't heard of British. Is that your home city?

Huh? It's...uh, the UK? United Kingdom? Britain? ...England? Bloody hell, we've got loads of names.

I'm...sorry, I'm afraid I haven't heard of any of those. It must be very far away.
