Look, I don't hold it against you. That was probably one of the worst nights of your life and you were pretty drunk. Plus Diva can sometimes have less empathy than a pipe wrench, which I'm sure is what caused you to get so pissed off, but you said some pretty cold things and she took it pretty hard.

If you do hate Diva, then, well, whatever. You don't have to like everything. I hate clowns and fluorescent lights.

But if you don't hate her, she'd probably like to hear that.

[She sighs and crouches down to scrub at Haruki's neck.] Right now? Yes, I hate her. I can't think of her without hating her for enjoying the fact that I lost my husband and my children in one night. When I offer someone an apology it's because I feel they deserve it, that I've wronged them. And I did wrong her. I know it. But I can't feel it right now, and until I do, I won't offer an apology I don't mean.
