[There is a gate on the Plane. It's a rather eerie-looking gate, lopsided and leaking odd shadows. Just from looking at it one would get a sense of fear and evil. This is a Demon Gate, and the creatures around it are clearly the ones that give it that name.]
[There are four of them. Two of them look like enormous koi fish, draped in ragged kimonos and soaring through the air on blade-like fins. A third looks like a huge flower bud, with four legs, a spiked tail and an oni mask. The fourth looks a bit like a decaying crane, and is also wearing an old and worn kimono, an umbrella wrapped in one wing. Surrounding the demons and the Demon Gate is a sickly red light, in which Japanese characters flicker like ghosts.]
[In the middle of it all is Amaterasu. She looks nothing like the sweet, even-tempered goddess everyone knows and loves; her expression is one of pure wrath, lips peeled back over vicious white teeth, hackles raised, fur on end. Her fur is spattered with blood, some of it red, the rest black and green. She's darting around inside the red shield almost faster than the eye can follow, a shining white light among the screeching demons. The mirror on her back is streaking out as if it has a mind of its own, tearing into the demons. There's a slash of ink and one of the fish lets out a shriek as it is cut clean in half, bursting into flowers as it disappears. Amaterasu has already moved onto the next fish, letting out a terrible roar as she leaps into the air and cuts its wings apart, bringing it to the Plane floor.]
[This is the other side of Amaterasu--the wolf, the hunter, the warrior.]

Aw, she is. [He finds her adorable. Then, of course, he remembers Amaterasu is there and suddenly he's all awkward. He stuffs his hands into his pockets and rocks on his feet, waiting for the lecture.]

She should be alright here for awhile. When she awakens it would be best for her to return to her reality.
[Ammy suddenly remembers that she was just in a fight. She's really very tired and sore. She smooths out her kimono and starts walking toward the Doctor. She comes to a stop at his side and lays a gentle hand on his shoulder.]
Try to think of the consequences next time, Doctor.
[She pats his head a little and keeps walking.]

No lecture? Really? That's all?
[This sounds exactly like it may have hundreds of years ago, when his teachers caught him doing something bad. Again.]

I do want you to understand, Doctor, that she could very well have lost everything that makes her Aniki. That is always the risk with these sorts of things, but I'm not sure you knew that.
[She smiles.] In any case, the danger has been averted for now, and that is what is important.

Are you going to be all right, though? That demon, I mean. You weren't hurt? [Yes, he is a bit concerned for her, goddess or no.]
no subject
[She beams.] It is nothing a Holy Bone or two won't fix.

[A final smile and then she's gone.]
