[There is a massive draft horse of indeterminate breeding on the plane. It does not look happy to be there. In fact all the vibes it's giving off are those of extreme displeasure. Its ears are back, the shuffling and snorting its doing a clear indication that it wants people to STAY AWAY. There are torn clothes on the ground, a broken belt--and the well-cared-for hilt of a sword showing above the battered scabbard in which the sword itself is sheathed.

Yeah. If you recognize the weapon she always carries, you might recognize the pissed-off expression on the horse's face.

Aniki has not had a good day.]

[{Hunt, yes. Deal, no.} The feeling of animal communication is starting to make her feel a bit mentally confused. She nuzzles Ammy again.]

[Ammy nuzzles her back and switches back to human language.]

You must find this mage quickly, Aniki. It will be a problem if you turn too completely into a horse.

[She blinks a Amaterasu, not quite comprehending. She's confused by the abrupt switch.]

[She touches her nose to Aniki's.]

[{What, goddess? What is?} The name, her name, pings her at least, and the layer of animal-speak over human vocalization helps cut through some of the fuzziness.]

Remember. Remember yourself. Yourself, Aniki. Remember who you are.

[REMEMBAH WHO YOU AAH. YOU ARE MY SON, AND THE ONE TRUE KING-- er. She shakes herself from head to hindquarters, snorting in agitation. Yeah, she's more or less back in her own head. {...what...?}]

[Smiles.] Feeling better?

[She snuffles Ammy's fur, unnerved. Repeats the mental question. {What...?}]

[It's easier to understand her like this, and easier to frame the question in her mind. {What happen?}]

Went away. Horse, not human. Aniki. Remember, are human. Not horse.

[She shakes her head, still a bit muzzy. {No human smell. No human voice. No human...?}]

Human mind. Thought. Feel. Memories.

[{No human feel.} She's somewhat dazed now, trying to recall the memories Amaterasu is talking about. She conjures up the images of home and friends, the sound of their voices, their smells, but it's all general and vague. {Am me. This me, is me, yes?}]

Not horse. [Her voice is forceful this time. She reaches over and takes the hilt of the sword carefully in her teeth.] Am this. Human. Aniki.

[She shies back slightly, startled and upset. {Am Aniki. Am... Am Aniki.} She's shivering again, the smell of wolf in her nose and the soothing taste of the herbs all but forgotten. {Am bright metal, cutting metal.}]

[There's a memory, clear and sharp, the feel of a hilt in her hand and the weight of a body on its end. {....Ammy?}]

[{What in the name Mithros divine happened?}]

You lost yourself in the horse's mind.

It is important to hold onto something that is you. Your sword--whenever you feel yourself start to lose to the horse, remember your sword. It would be best to keep it with you at all times.

[{How? No hands.} She shakes her head, having a hard time telling if she's nervous because of the wolf-smell or because she THOUGHT SHE WAS A HORSE, WHAT THE HELL.]
