[Hei and Misaki are at the bar, because apparently that the Place To Be for disfunctional couples. But they aren't hanging all over each other, flirting, kissing, or talking about the kids. They are sitting as far apart as possible while still remaining in the same space. Misaki sits in a booth, flushed, staring into space. Hei is at the bar facing the opposite direction, drink in hand. Bandaged hand; he appears to have torn it up rather badly.

[Oh, the burning hate is back. Misaki keeps her nails at a reasonable length and filed tidily to serve as self-defense mechanisms in a pinch. Said nails are now drawing little slots of blood from the back of her wrist.]

[pauses - he thinks of telling her to go home, but he wonders if that's very much the wrong thing to say]

You can stay at my flat tonight, if you like. I'm not letting you go anywhere from here on your own. As capable as you are, you're also drunk.

[She nods, then rests her chin on her crossed arms. Still slurring,] I can't decide whether it would be better for me to wait here or at your flat.

Well, my flat is a bit more private. There's less alcohol, but in my opinion, that's not a bad thing.
