[the Master and the Doctor appear together at the Astral Bar, bickering. No one should be surprised] Well, she's not that bad to put up with, is she? A bit mouthy, but you've picked up worse. The one of her here asked ever-so-nicely for me to take this one on, you know, so I don't mind. And anyway, if you happen to be acting particularly maddening, I can always use her as a hostage to put you back in line. It's a winning situation, I think.

You're not using her as a hostage. Frankly, I think she'd have a say in that first.

And I'd end up killing her because she's a very mouthy hostage, yes. It happens, I'm afraid. [the Master starts mixing a White Ballistic for himself, because he wants one]

[The Doctor wants one, too, but he's just eyeing the Master's] You haven't been slapped by her. You'd have to get through that first.

I'll draw her death out into something slow and painful, then. I keep telling you, Doctor, don't let any of your precious pets near me if you can't make them behave.

[the Doctor sighs and runs his hand through his hair] Her room is far, far away from yours, so you'll have to go out of your way to see her. Shouldn't be a problem.

Unless it becomes one, of course. You realise that there's only one good television lounge, and that I'm not sharing it with anyone. Except Lucy, of course.

You and Donna watch the same shows, don't you? Those sort of...popular things on in the daytime.

[for a long moment, he stares] I don't watch soap operas.

[the Master drinks his White Ballistic with a grin] My dear Doctor, the burden is entirely on you.

[The Doctor frowns and thinks about it. His mind? Yeah it went to the Master first.] It depends how and who. Some harm I handle better than others. I've been through just about every physical harm the universe can think up. I suppose it's the...effects of it that end up staying.

And if someone were to have touched you against your will?

You should...tell them to stop and get away from the situation. Yell for help, even. Did someone touch you?

I did. I requested repeatedly that sh-- [snaps her mouth closed. she doesn't want the Doctor to figure this out] It would seem no one was able to hear me though I called numerous times and demanded my release just as many.

[He raises an eyebrow at the missed word there but he's busy being upset that apparently someone has badtouched his ship.] How are you now? That...I can't even believe someone could...

[shakes her head, placing a hand on his arm] I am well, Doctor. Do not concern yourself. I should not have bothered you with such trivial matters. Forgive me.

[Definitely doesn't look convinced.] It isn't trivial at all! It's...that isn't anything you should go through. Not ever.

[winces a little, averting her eyes] It is nothing that can be changed now. I will simply have to be more vigilant in the future. But I have obviously upset you with this. We can stop discussing it.

[he shakes his head.] No, no. TARDIS, this isn't some small matter. Is there anything you want me to do for you?

What would you be able to do? The event has passed. What would you do in my situation?

[he's rather at a loss here.] I don't...know. Find some way of dealing with it. Possibly find a project or just stay by myself for a while.

Would you harm the one who harmed you?

No. No, I wouldn't. Revenge and hurting someone because they hurt you will only keep the cycle of pain going.

But if I do nothing she remains unpunished! She will have won!

[eyebrows raised.] I do think there's only one 'she' you would refer to here.

[draws back, upset] I do not believe we should discuss this any further.

TARDIS. Tell me what happened.

[shakes her head] Please do not ask that of me. I am shamed enough as it is. I should not have broached the subject with you to begin with. I will solve this on my own.

[he shakes his head quickly, putting his hands on her shoulders.] You shouldn't be ashamed.

But I could not stop her! [shakes] She pulled my arms from their sockets and would not release me, even when I begged! I am indestructible, Doctor, but she harmed me! How can I not be shamed by that?
