[have part of a jungle, everyone. The Doctor has dragged several palm trees with him and a grassy area that fades to white sand beach and yes, even the edges of the water. So there's random water lapping up on the random beach with the Doctor sitting under a random tropical tree, staring up into space]

...Ohh, that's the Cassiopeia galaxy. Thought it was the Derred galaxy.

Well, 'least you weren't alone, then.
So Jack's immortal and runs Torchwood? And him being immortal is my fault?

[clicks his tongue, then nods] Yeah but...he's not mad at you for it, Rose. He's doing well, promise. He's got his team and Martha and Torchwood, yeah, but he told me about it. I'm still not exactly...well, if anyone can turn Torchwood around, it's Jack.

...if you say so.

You sure he's not mad, though? 'cause I think I'd be a little ticked at me if I turned myself immortal and all.

Well, he was looking for me for a while to reverse it but there's nothing I can do. [scratches his neck] I suppose having a year to think on it helped. He seems fine with it now.

[Sigh of relief] That's good.

So, did you know he was alive when we left Satellite Five?

[looks up slightly] ...Yeah, I did.

...why didn't you mention it before, then?

He's a fact, Rose. That's not supposed to happen. It's just...looking at him feels wrong. Being around him feels wrong. [frowns] Even the TARDIS felt it. She tried to get away from him. We've gotten over our, erm, prejudices since then, though.

....oh. Well, 'least you got over it, then, yeah?

Still, could've mentioned it to me that he was, y'know, not dead.

[rubs his neck] Erm, right, sorry. At least you're more or less caught up now.

Anything else you should tell me?

Ohhh, well. I mentioned the Master being a no wandering to zone, yeah?

Right! Well, that's because he's rather evil, so try to look out for him. He's wandering around somewhere. Anyway, shouldn't be...too much of a problem.

Yeah, we've.... met. Seemed like a nice enough bloke.

What about me? Ummm....Mickey, Jake and I ran 'round all over the world collecting artifacts, getting rid of aliens, defending the earth...that sort of thing. Ran into some pretty nasty aliens a few times.

Oooh, really? Any I know?

Probably, knowing you. There were Durgs--they're good at messing with minds. Oh, and then I ran into parallel Slitheen. And then there was something called a....Fendhal? Ate life, that one. Had to blow up a building to get rid of it.

[looks surprised] The Fendhal? Ahh, they're right nasty, yeah. Very ancient. Durgs, durgs...not sure if I know them but species that mess with your head are always tough.

Yeah, the Fendhal was in South America. That one was fun. [Sigh] Almost killed all three of us. Good thing that snake distracted it.

I'm surprised it wasn't worse...that's good, though. What about those Durgs?

Yeah, me too. Definitely could have been.

That's...a different story. That was worse.
