Constellation 01

[Arthur seems quite startled as he appears on the Plane. For a moment, there is a look of confusion on his face, but it soon changes to one of delight] Oh, this is brilliant. Don’t recall having a dream like this before. [Gazing up, he begins to see what stars he can recognize] There’s Arcuturus, then Rigul. I don’t recognize any in that particular cluster… Even in the country, you can’t see stars as bright as these.

[Then he looks down at the ‘floor’. Rather than being scared that he is apparently walking on nothing, Arthur kneels, grinning as he traces constellations with his finger] There’s the Diamond of Virgo; Arcturus, Spica, Denebola, and Cor Caroli. The Big Dipper, of course. [then a frown as he pauses over a particular group of stars] Hold on. This is the Great Square of Pegasus, isn’t it? Shouldn’t be able to view these two at once. Diamond of Virgo is for spring, the Great Square of Pegasus for summer…..

A bit worrying, if my dreams have such simple mistakes.

[aaaand she's gone, replaced a few moments later with a large blue box, humming quietly as she waits]

[Arthur stares, standing up. Tentatively, he presses his hand against the wood, almost as confirmation. Looking up, he catches sight of the sign] Police Public Call Box....?

[hums quietly in response, opening her doors for him to enter, her projection waiting inside near the console]

[Still looking rather surprised, he walks through the doorway and steps inside, looking around the console room] But-....how? The inside looks as if it were a lot bigger than the outside.

[and she positively beams] You are one of few to react so logically and calmly upon entering my interior. But you are correct. I am dimensionally transcendental. My interior is infinite while my exterior remains a manageable size. [waves a ghostly hand] You are welcome to explore.

[Arthur makes his way around the console room curiously, looking but being sure not to touch anything]The amount of energy that must be needed to run this place....how do you manage it?

My core is composed of a black hole. I have an infinite energy source in the Eye of Harmony. It is not difficult for me to continue to function.

[He turns to face her projection, a huge grin on his face] Using a black hole as the core of all this? That is brilliant, really.

Schwarzschild was right about them existing, then.

He was, indeed. There are a great many things in this universe that exist beyond your understanding.

Wouldn't be too much fun if I did know everything, would it? Then there would be nothing left to learn.

There is always something to learn. Even I have no amassed complete knowledge of the universe, nor has the Doctor. A human such as yourself has nothing to worry about in that regard.
